Yes, Military Base can be good in Tower Defense Simulator, but it is a situational pick rather than a reliable answer for every map or loadout. Its vehicles benefit from long paths and upgrade investment; short maps, flying enemies, and long gaps between spawns can limit it. If you meant Militant, that is a separate tower that attacks enemies directly.
What Military Base does
Military Base costs 4,000 Coins to unlock and periodically sends a vehicle along the path, from its end toward its start. Vehicles damage enemies they encounter, and higher-level units gain weapon attacks. You can place up to five Military Bases.
Its upgrades change how it contributes: Levels 0–3 spawn increasingly strong Humvees; Level 3 adds a mounted gun and hidden detection. Level 4 adds a Tank with cannon splash and unlocks Airstrike. Level 5 replaces the vehicle with a Railgun Tank and improves Airstrike damage and blast radius. According to the official Tower Defense Simulator Wiki’s Military Base page, the Level 5 upgrade costs $25,000 in-game cash. Airstrike costs $500 in-game cash per use and has a 45-second cooldown. These are in-game values, not real-world prices.
When Military Base is a good pick
Long paths let vehicles contribute
The vehicles need route length to encounter enemies and deal damage. The wiki warns against using Military Base on short maps such as Dead Ahead, where the long interval between spawns and limited path length make it less effective.

Later upgrades add damage options
The Tank’s ranged cannon and splash attacks broaden the tower’s role, while Airstrike provides an activated area attack. The wiki says splash damage deals full damage against enemies with defense. Those tools make upgraded Military Base more versatile than relying on vehicle collisions alone, though Airstrike’s cooldown limits how often you can use it.
It can fit into a supported team loadout
Military Base is more appealing when your loadout can afford its expensive upgrades and other towers cover its weaknesses. The wiki recommends economy towers such as Farm or Cowboy to help pay for Level 5, and notes that slowing enemies can keep Military Base units alive longer.

Some enemy interactions favor it
Vehicle collisions can damage lead enemies, and later units gain hidden detection. However, mounted guns do not damage lead enemies, so the damage source matters. A tower’s upgrade level does not make every part of its attack effective against every enemy.
When it underperforms
- Short maps: Vehicles have less route over which to attack, and their spawn interval can leave too little sustained contribution.
- Flying enemies: Spawned units cannot collide with or detect flying enemies. Airstrike can help after it unlocks, but it should not be treated as dependable anti-air coverage for every situation.
- Large crowds of high-health enemies: The wiki warns that these can destroy spawned units quickly. Airstrike may help, but its 45-second cooldown prevents frequent use.
- Limited cash or placement room: Level 5 costs $25,000 in-game cash, and the tower’s footprint can use space that might be valuable for other placements.
- A need for steady damage: Long gaps between vehicle spawns are a drawback if Military Base is expected to supply the loadout’s main damage.
Military Base or Militant?
“Military” can mean either tower in casual conversation, but Military Base and Militant are distinct. Military Base sends vehicles down the path; Militant fires directly at enemies.

The official Tower Defense Simulator Wiki’s Militant page describes Militant as an early-to-mid-game tower and lists 68.57 DPS at Level 4 in its regular-mode table. It also says Militant gains hidden and flying detection at Level 1. Those details are not a controlled comparison with Military Base, so they do not establish that one tower is always stronger. The better choice depends on map length, enemy mix, upgrade affordability, damage timing, and what your other towers cover.

- Check the map: Favor routes long enough for vehicles to meet enemies; be cautious on short paths.
- Check enemy coverage: Plan another answer for flying enemies rather than assuming Military Base’s vehicles can handle them.
- Check your economy: Decide whether your loadout can fund the upgrades you need, especially Level 5.
- Check your damage timing: If you need continuous, immediate damage, account for the gaps between spawns.
- Check the team role: Military Base is easier to justify when teammates or other towers supply crowd control, economy, and coverage for its weaknesses.
The official wiki calls Military Base an “all-round tower,” but its own strategy advice makes clear that this is not the same as a universal recommendation. Its pages, accessed October 8, 2026, report the game values above; balance values can change with updates. The wiki does not establish a universally best pick or a controlled win-rate comparison across maps and modes.
