The ANBERNIC RG Slide is 26 mm thick and weighs 379 g, according to the manufacturer. Those figures make it a substantial handheld to carry, but they cannot tell you whether it will fit comfortably in your particular pants pocket. Owner reports differ, and there is no standardized pocket-fit test for the device.
How big and heavy is the RG Slide?
ANBERNIC lists the RG Slide at 15.4 × 9 × 2.6 cm and 0.379 kg (379 g). These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. The 26 mm thickness and 379 g weight are the most relevant figures if you are deciding whether to carry it loose in a pocket every day.
The Slide has a 4.7-inch LTPS in-cell multitouch display with 1280 × 960 resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. ANBERNIC lists Android 13, a Unisoc T820 processor, 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Its 5,000 mAh battery is accompanied by a manufacturer-claimed six hours of battery life; that figure is not an independent test result. See ANBERNIC’s RG Slide product page and technical specifications.
Will it fit in a pants pocket?
There is no universal yes or no. Pocket depth and width vary by garment, and a device can fit while still feeling awkward or pulling at the fabric. The manufacturer’s dimensions give you a useful starting point, but they do not establish comfort in any particular pocket.

Community discussions include people who describe the RG Slide as bulky or heavy and others who say they carry it in a pants pocket. Those are individual experiences, not a representative survey. Retro Game Corps’ June 13, 2025 first-impressions video characterized the handheld as surprisingly large and chunky; its description says the review unit was supplied by the manufacturer. That reaction is useful context, not a controlled fit test.
What the size means for everyday carry
The sliding screen and built-in controls are central to the RG Slide’s design. That integrated layout may appeal if you want a handheld you can open and play, but it also means the closed device is still 26 mm thick and weighs 379 g. As a practical inference from those specifications—not a measured comfort result—it may be better suited to a bag or a roomy pocket than to unobtrusive carry in every outfit.

ANBERNIC lists a screen protector among the included box accessories. The available product information does not establish the fit of a separately sold replacement protector or carrying case, so check compatibility with the seller before buying an accessory.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to decide before buying
- Measure the pocket you actually plan to use, including its usable depth and width, against the listed 15.4 × 9 cm footprint.
- Consider the 2.6 cm thickness and 379 g weight as well as whether the device can physically fit; fit alone does not guarantee comfortable carry.
- If you expect to carry a handheld daily, think about whether you prefer it loose in a pocket or protected in a bag.
- Do not treat a single reviewer’s impression or an individual owner’s pocket report as a guarantee for your clothing or comfort.
There is no standardized comparison here with another handheld, so the RG Slide cannot be called objectively less pocketable than a competitor on the available evidence. Android Central’s September 30, 2025 article also raised weight and pocketability as buying considerations, but any deal price or availability mentioned there was historical, not a current offer.
