What’s actually slowing this PC down?

For a new PC buyer who plans to play Bedrock Edition and use Marketplace content, the Deluxe Collection can be worth the extra cost. It is a poor value for someone who plays only Java: the bundle’s add-ons, Character Creator items, and currency are Bedrock-only. Compare the local Standard and Deluxe prices, and decide based on what you will actually use—not on a supposed cash value for its coins.
What does the PC Deluxe Collection include?
Minecraft’s current PC Deluxe Collection includes both Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition, plus the Minecraft Launcher. Its extras are:
- 700 Minecoins
- Three add-ons: Celebration Food, Rescue Dogs, and Plenty O’ Blocks
- Three exclusive Character Creator items
The add-ons, Minecoins, and Character Creator items require a Microsoft account and Bedrock Edition; they are not supported in Java. The official Minecraft PC collection page also lists Standard, with the two editions and launcher, and Ultimate, which adds more items and 1,000 Minecoins. Check checkout for your local prices: regional pricing and promotions change, so there is no reliable universal price gap or savings figure.
Will you use Bedrock Marketplace extras?
Buy Deluxe if Bedrock content is part of your plan
The extras are designed for Bedrock’s Marketplace ecosystem, which offers creator-made worlds and customization content. They add practical value if you intend to use those items or spend the included currency there. Minecraft’s Minecoin FAQ explains Marketplace use and account balance checks, but does not establish a stable cash equivalent for 700 Minecoins. Treat the coins as platform-specific content credit, not cash or guaranteed savings.

- DELUXE COLLECTION — Includes Minecraft, three add-ons, three exclusive Character Creator items, and 700 Minecoins.
- CREATE YOUR WORLD — Build whatever you imagine in an infinite world that’s unique in every playthrough.
- EXPLORE AND CRAFT — Discover biomes, resources, and mobs, then craft your way through a sandbox world filled with surprises.
- SURVIVE THE ADVENTURE — Face mysterious foes, travel across exciting landscapes, and venture into perilous dimensions.
- PLAY TOGETHER — Play solo or join friends in local split-screen and cross-platform play across console, mobile, and PC. Online multiplayer supports up to 8 players.
Standard is the clearer choice for Java-only play
If you expect to play Java exclusively, the Deluxe extras have no direct use in that edition. Java supports community mods and runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux; Bedrock supports cross-play among supported consoles, mobile devices, and Windows PC, and provides Marketplace content. Pick the edition that matches the devices and edition your friends use. Java and Bedrock players cannot join each other’s multiplayer sessions, and their worlds and saves are incompatible.
How do PC, Xbox, and PlayStation listings differ?
Do not assume that a console listing is identical to the PC bundle. Currency and included base-game entitlements can vary by platform listing.

| Store listing | What the cited listing says | Price information |
|---|---|---|
| PC, Minecraft official page | Java and Bedrock, Launcher, 700 Minecoins, three add-ons, and three Character Creator items | Check local checkout; no universal price stated |
| Xbox US, observed 2026 | 700 Minecoins, three add-ons, and three Character Creator items; listed for PC | $39.99+ on the US Xbox storefront when observed in 2026; volatile and not a global price guarantee |
| PlayStation US, observed 2026 | Three add-ons, three Character Creator items, and 700 Tokens | Not stated in the cited listing information |
The Xbox figure is from the US Xbox Store listing, not a promise of the price in another region or at a later date. The US PlayStation Store listing describes Tokens rather than Minecoins. Minecraft’s edition comparison says PlayStation Tokens can be used only on PlayStation and Minecoins cannot be used on PlayStation. Confirm the currency, base game, and platform in the exact store listing before buying.

Online console multiplayer requires a separate subscription to the relevant platform’s online service. Realms, Realms Plus, and Marketplace Pass are also separate subscriptions; they are not included with the collection. Who is the Deluxe Collection worth buying for?
- Likely worth it: A new PC buyer who expects to play Bedrock, wants the included add-ons or Character Creator items, and finds the local Deluxe price close enough to Standard to justify those extras.
- Probably not worth it: A Java-focused buyer who will not use Bedrock Marketplace content. Compare Standard instead.
- Console buyer: Check the specific console listing’s base-game contents, currency, price, and online-subscription requirements before comparing it with the PC collection.
- Existing owner: Verify which edition and platform entitlement you already have before purchasing. The available store details do not resolve every upgrade or duplicate-entitlement case.
A quick comparison before checkout
- Check the current local checkout prices for Standard, Deluxe, and—if relevant—Ultimate.
- Decide whether you will play Bedrock and use Marketplace add-ons or cosmetics; do not count the extras as Java content.
- Confirm that the store listing is for your platform and check whether its currency is Minecoins or Tokens.
- If buying on console, account for the separate online service subscription if you need online multiplayer.
