No confirmed information establishes that Titanfall 3 is in development or that it will release in 2026. A 2025 report about an unnamed Respawn project said it was not planned for a 2026 release, according to industry journalist Jeff Grubb. That report does not identify the project as Titanfall 3, and it is not an official EA or Respawn announcement.
Is Titanfall 3 in development?
There is no confirmation in the available public statements and reporting that Titanfall 3 is currently in development. EA’s official forum response said it had no updates on Titanfall’s future, but that post is an older statement—not a current status report. In its November 9, 2017 announcement about acquiring Respawn, EA listed “a new title in the Titanfall franchise” among projects in development. The announcement did not name Titanfall 3 or say whether that project is still active.

Respawn producer Drew McCoy also told GameSpot at Apex Legends’ 2019 launch, “The world thinks we’re making Titanfall 3 and we’re not.” That described the studio’s work at that time; it does not establish what is happening in 2026. GameSpot’s report of McCoy’s comment provides that historical context.
Is Titanfall 3 coming out in 2026?
No confirmed 2026 release date has been announced. In an April 9, 2025 report, GameSpot cited Jeff Grubb’s assessment that an unnamed rumored Respawn project was not planned for release in 2026. What EA has said—and what that does not prove
EA community manager EA_Aljo wrote on the EA Forums: “We don’t have any updates on the future of Titanfall. Should we have some news, it’ll be announced on our official channels so keep an eye out. Thanks!” The reply is labeled “2 years ago” on the forum page, so it should be read as a dated response, not a fresh update. See the EA Forums reply.
Likewise, EA’s 2017 mention of a new Titanfall franchise title was not a sequel announcement with a name or schedule. Neither item confirms the current development status of Titanfall 3, and the cited sources do not establish whether EA or Respawn has made a newer announcement since those statements and reports.

What to play while waiting for confirmed news
Titanfall 2 is a released game in the franchise, launched in late 2016. It is an optional way to revisit Titanfall; it is not Titanfall 3. Current physical availability has not been verified.
