No—Xbox Player Voice is a new feedback channel, not a defunct version of the old Xbox Feedback site. Microsoft launched it on May 18, 2026, to give players a place to submit feedback and see when it has been received and reviewed. Players can follow progress when Xbox has meaningful updates to share. The channel is still described as starting small and evolving, so the absence of a visible update on a suggestion does not show that it has been ignored.
What Xbox Player Voice does—and what it does not promise
Team Xbox introduced Player Voice as its broad destination for feedback about the Xbox experience. It replaces the Xbox Cloud Gaming feedback portal and is intended to work alongside Xbox Insider Hub, support forums and social channels—not replace all of them. Xbox’s May 18, 2026 announcement says players can see when a submission is received and reviewed, and follow progress when meaningful updates are available.
That visibility is not a commitment to a particular outcome or response schedule. Xbox says submissions are organized and considered alongside other work; an idea may move forward, take longer, or not be actionable. Team Xbox puts the limit plainly: “this doesn’t mean every piece of feedback will turn into a feature or result in a change.” The announcement does not establish a standard review time or a rate at which suggestions become shipped features. The announcement says Xbox will share meaningful updates when there are any.
Where to send Xbox feedback, bugs and support requests
Choose the channel based on what you need: proposing a change is different from reporting a bug or asking for help with a problem.

| Channel | Best for | Who it is for | What to expect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xbox Player Voice | Feedback and ideas about the Xbox experience | Xbox players | Submission receipt and review visibility; progress when meaningful updates are available. No promised feature or change. |
| Xbox Insider Hub | Testing preview experiences and reporting bugs or issues | Xbox Insiders | A route tied to Insider testing and product feedback; Player Voice is designed to complement it. |
| Xbox Insider community on Reddit | Insider help and troubleshooting | Xbox Insiders | Support from official staff, moderators and community members; Xbox recommends adding to an existing matching thread where possible. |
| Xbox support forums | Help and troubleshooting | Players seeking support | A place to seek assistance rather than submit a product idea for tracked review. |
| Xbox social channels | Ongoing conversation | Xbox players | Conversation, not the formal channel for submission status. |
These distinctions come from the Player Voice announcement and Xbox’s August 5, 2026 Insider update. For an Insider problem, use the Insider route rather than treating Player Voice as a bug-reporting or support queue. If you need help solving an account, device or game problem, use support channels.
Does Microsoft actually use player feedback?
Xbox publicly describes feedback as an input to product development and continues to run Insider previews where selected players can try features before broader rollout. That supports the conclusion that feedback remains part of the process; it does not prove that one person’s submission caused a particular feature to ship.

Recent Xbox Wire posts offer examples of the ongoing cycle. On March 18, 2026, Senior Product Manager Alex Charters said, “At Xbox, your feedback helps shape how we build and improve the player experience,” while describing features being tested by selected Insiders and rolling out over time. On June 10, Xbox said updates in its preview were “shaped by your feedback.” Its August 5 update continued to describe Insider features and rollout stages while directing players to Player Voice. March 18 update, June 10 update and August 5 update show feedback and previews being discussed together, not a public audit trail linking an individual submission to a release.
What happened to the old Xbox Feedback site?
The old vote-based Xbox Feedback experience is historical context, not a reliable description of Player Voice today. In a March 2018 post, Xbox said suggestions were grouped, ranked by votes and compiled for feature-team review. The post also described Xbox Insider Hub as a route for feedback on existing features, games and preview experiences. That account explains why some older advice points players toward voting on an Xbox Feedback site, but it does not establish that Player Voice uses the same process. Xbox’s 2018 explanation predates Player Voice by more than eight years.

An earlier Xbox Insider guide also directed Windows users to file reports through Windows Feedback Hub under “Gaming and Xbox.” That is historical guidance; Xbox’s 2026 Player Voice announcement describes the current high-level distinction between feedback, Insider testing, support and social conversation. The January 2018 guide should not be treated as a current universal route for Xbox feedback.

Xbox does not publish a guaranteed formula for getting an idea adopted. When submitting, focus on the problem or goal rather than only naming a feature you want. Explain what you were trying to do, what happened, and why the current experience falls short. For a bug, describe the steps that reproduce it and the result you expected. This gives a team more context to evaluate the issue; it does not guarantee a change.
