To compare Isaac Okoro fairly with other NBA 3-and-D wings, start with role and defensive assignments, then weigh three-point volume and accuracy, availability, and offense beyond shooting. Chicago’s 2025–26 regular-season review shows a substantial rotation role and a 33.0% three-point mark; the available official statistics do not establish how his defense stacks up against a specific peer.
Use Okoro’s 2025–26 role as the baseline
The Chicago Bulls’ 2025–26 season review records Okoro playing 63 regular-season games, starting 62, and averaging 26.9 minutes per game. His per-game line was 9.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists, with 46.0% field-goal shooting and 33.0% three-point shooting.
Those figures describe a regular contributor, not just a player appearing in occasional specialist minutes. For any comparison, check whether the other wing has a similar starting role, workload, and lineup context. A reserve playing fewer minutes or a primary offensive option with a very different job is not an apples-to-apples comparison, even if both are called 3-and-D players.
Read three-point accuracy alongside volume
Okoro’s three-point percentage has varied across the three seasons listed on NBA.com’s player-statistics page: 39.1% in 2023–24, 37.1% in 2024–25, and 33.0% in 2025–26. For 2025–26, the page lists 1.2 made threes on 3.5 attempts per game.

| Regular season | Three-point percentage | What the listed figures establish |
|---|---|---|
| 2023–24 | 39.1% | Season accuracy |
| 2024–25 | 37.1% | Season accuracy |
| 2025–26 | 33.0% | Season accuracy; 1.2 makes on 3.5 attempts per game |
The sequence shows lower accuracy in 2025–26 than in the preceding two seasons, but it does not explain why or prove that the change will persist. When comparing wings, place percentage beside attempts, shot locations, and the kinds of shots taken. A player who makes a high share on a small, selective diet may fill a different spacing role from one who takes more difficult or more frequent attempts.
Compare the defensive assignment, not just the label
“3-and-D” combines two distinct questions: whether a player provides useful perimeter shooting and what defensive work he handles. Starts and minutes help establish how regularly a player is used, but they do not reveal whom he guards or how well he performs against particular assignments.

- Identify the opponents and positions the wing is asked to guard, including whether he takes primary assignments.
- Consider switchability across positions and evidence from relevant matchups rather than relying on a nominal position label.
- Treat steals and blocks as incomplete defensive proxies; neither alone measures matchup difficulty or overall defensive impact.
The official figures cited here establish Okoro’s role and box-score production, not a definitive defensive ranking. A supported head-to-head judgment would need comparable opponent-assignment, tracking, or carefully contextualized film evidence for both players.
Account for availability and offense beyond the arc
Games played and sample size matter: a percentage or per-game rate from a short season or stint should not be treated as equivalent to a full-season record. Okoro’s 63 games provide the availability context for his 2025–26 regular-season line; compare peers over the same season and note any meaningful difference in games played.

Three-point shooting is also only part of a wing’s offense. Cuts, transition play, closeouts attacked, turnovers, and creation can affect what a player contributes when the ball is not simply arriving for a shot. Okoro’s 9.3 points and 1.6 assists per game add context, but those totals alone do not establish efficiency or decision quality. Use comparable measures or film before drawing those conclusions.
Treat familiar names as prompts, not a ranking
OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges are familiar wings readers may want to compare with Okoro. The available 2025–26 material does not supply a complete, consistently matched set of role, three-point-attempt, and defensive-assignment evidence for those players. Their names can frame questions, but the figures here do not support declaring either one a direct statistical peer or ranking Okoro above or below them.

Check listed measurements against their source
Chicago’s 2025 announcement of Okoro’s acquisition from Cleveland lists him at 6 feet 5 inches and 225 pounds, while his NBA.com profile lists him at 6 feet 4 inches and 225 pounds. If height is relevant to a comparison, keep the source attached to the figure; the one-inch discrepancy does not establish which opponents a player can guard.
