What CE-32918-3 means—and what is known
We couldn’t verify a current official explanation for CE-32918-3 in the PlayStation support material reviewed. The official PlayStation error-code index surfaced other PS4 codes, but not this one. That does not prove Sony has never documented it; it means the available support material does not establish what the code means.
The game-specific reports date to Jurassic World Evolution 2’s launch period. In a guide published November 9, 2021, Gamepur reported PS4 installation failures, said the issue had been reported to Frontier, and noted that restarting the installation had not helped some players. A November 2021 community thread described the code during pre-download and reported a suggestion to delete and download the file again. These historical reports do not establish the cause, current status, or a guaranteed fix.
Try PlayStation’s general PS4 download steps
PlayStation’s download guidance is for failed or stuck game downloads generally; it does not identify a CE-32918-3-specific remedy. Work through these lower-impact checks before using a system-level option.

- Check PlayStation service status. Visit the PlayStation Network service status page. If it shows an alert affecting the Store or downloads, wait for service restoration before trying again.
- Retry the download. On PS4, open Notifications > Downloads, select the game, and choose Pause followed by Resume. If it still fails, cancel and delete the download. Then open Library, select Jurassic World Evolution 2, and try downloading it again. This is a retry, not a code-specific fix.
- Check available storage. Go to Settings > Storage and confirm there is enough free space. PlayStation says the required space for a game can be found in the Store listing’s Details section.
- Check system software. Confirm that the PS4 has the current system software installed, following PlayStation’s game-download troubleshooting guidance.
- Test the connection if the download is stuck. Go to Settings > Network > Test Internet Connection. This checks the console’s connection; it does not diagnose the error code itself.
- Rebuild the database only if basic steps fail. Start the PS4 in Safe Mode and choose Rebuild Database. This is a later system-level troubleshooting step, not a guaranteed fix for CE-32918-3. Follow PlayStation’s Safe Mode instructions before proceeding.
When to contact PlayStation Support
If the code persists after the general download checks, contact PlayStation Support. PlayStation asks users to provide “Any error codes or messages.” Include CE-32918-3, that it occurs while downloading or installing Jurassic World Evolution 2 on PS4, what happens immediately before the failure, and the steps you have already tried. Attach a screenshot or video if possible.
Do not jump straight to initializing the PS4 or reinstalling system software. Those are destructive escalation actions, and PlayStation’s retrieved download guidance does not present them as initial steps.

Would the PS4 disc edition avoid the download?
A physical edition is a separate way to own the game, not an evidenced fix for a failed digital download. The available sources do not show that buying or using a disc resolves CE-32918-3; check the edition and current availability separately if you are considering a disc.
