If Jusant crashes or will not launch on PC, DON’T NOD’s published troubleshooting sequence is to check the game’s requirements, update your drivers, then—if the problem continues—uninstall the game, remove its save files, and reinstall. Back up any saves you want to keep before deleting them. These steps are guidance, not a guaranteed fix.
Try the developer’s troubleshooting steps in order
- Check your PC against the requirements for your storefront. The published specifications differ between DON’T NOD and Steam; see the comparison below rather than treating either list as universal.
- Update your graphics drivers. Use the appropriate driver update for your graphics hardware. DON’T NOD recommends updating drivers but does not name a utility or say this will resolve every crash.
- Back up saves you want to preserve. The next step involves removing save files. Copy any saves you want to keep somewhere safe before proceeding.
- Uninstall, remove saves, and reinstall. If the crash persists, DON’T NOD advises uninstalling the game, removing all possible saves from the computer, and reinstalling it. This is the developer’s published guidance, not a promise that reinstalling will fix the problem.
DON’T NOD published these steps in its Jusant End of Service notice dated 10 November 2025.
Check the requirements for your version of the game
The official support page and Steam list different PC requirements. Compare your hardware with the listing for the storefront where you own Jusant; do not combine the two lists into a single definitive specification. Steam specifically calls for DirectX 12 support with Shader Model 6.6.

One specific crash was fixed in patch 1.06
DON’T NOD’s patch 1.06 notes say the developers fixed an “Out of Memory” crash that occurred when wind particles accumulated. This is relevant if you are running an old or unpatched installation, but it does not establish that wind particles—or the same bug—cause other crashes. The notes page is headed May 2024 and shows an update date of 20 May 2025.

Graphics detection advice is not a crash fix
DON’T NOD’s general information page says that on first launch the game may detect graphics settings below what your hardware can handle; it suggests manually raising the graphics settings by one level. That advice concerns graphics quality and hardware detection, not a documented remedy for crashing.
What to do if it still crashes
The published official guidance does not give a more specific fix for crashes that continue after those steps. For a useful diagnosis, record the exact error message or point where the crash occurs, your storefront and game version, Windows version, CPU, GPU, RAM, graphics-driver version, and any crash logs available. Those details can distinguish a launch failure from an in-game crash, but no universal cause is established by the official sources.

DON’T NOD’s 10 November 2025 notice says the game will no longer receive updates and the company will no longer answer customer-support queries. The official notice and the storefront listing are therefore the published support information available to consult.
