The trophy set also reaches well beyond finishing the story, so decide early whether to protect a no-continue, no-equipment-change, or under-15-hour run—and plan to return to earlier worlds for Journal, puppy, and Trinity cleanup.
Which version of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix are you playing?
This guide concerns Kingdom Hearts Final Mix as included in Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX and Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMIX. Trophy requirements discussed here differ between the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 lists, so use the trophy wording displayed for your own copy rather than treating one platform’s route as universal. Kingdom Hearts Realm’s trophy list identifies the compilation context and transcribes the requirements.
| What to verify | PS3 guidance | PS4 guidance |
|---|---|---|
| Difficulty clears | Thundaka’s PS3 guide says Beginner, Final Mix, and Proud difficulty trophies do not stack, meaning its route calls for three clears. The guide was updated July 17, 2015. | A TrueTrophies walkthrough search result says “Clear game on Final Mix: Beginner or a higher difficulty level.” The underlying page was unavailable for review, so confirm the exact trophy wording on your PS4 list before deciding how many clears to plan. TrueTrophies PS4 walkthrough. |
| Gummi Ship blueprints | The PS3 guide identifies Gummi Ship Collector as requiring all blueprints. | The PS4 list source describes the requirement as obtaining 30 or more Gummi Ship blueprints. Check the wording for your edition; do not assume the PS3 threshold applies. |
| Missable trophies | The PS3 guide flags missable considerations, including a Dalmatian chest timing concern; consult the guide for its platform-specific route. | The TrueTrophies search result reports three missable trophies, but does not establish their details here. Verify them against your in-game list and a walkthrough for your exact list. |
The practical difference is substantial: a PS3 player following the cited guide should budget for separate difficulty runs, while the available PS4 wording suggests a different difficulty requirement. The precise PS4 list should be checked directly before committing to a route.
What does the completionist run require?
The list combines story clears with collection, combat, and challenge goals. Among its named conditions are:
#1 Best Overall
- Used Book in Good Condition
- Clear the game on specified difficulties.
- Clear without changing equipment and clear without using a continue.
- Beat the World of Chaos within 15 hours.
- Defeat optional bosses, reach Sora level 100, open 100 chests, earn over 10,000 Munny, and defeat over 2,000 Heartless.
- Collect all Jiminy’s Journal entries, synthesize every item, and complete Gummi Ship challenges.
Those goals pull in different directions. Exploring every world and collecting materials takes time, while Speedster imposes a time limit. It is often more manageable to treat the fast clear as a distinct objective from thorough exploration rather than attempting to do everything in one leisurely run.
Plan your playthroughs around the restrictive trophies
Difficulty trophies
On PS3, the cited guide says the Beginner, Final Mix, and Proud clears do not stack. If you are following that list, plan for three difficulty-specific clears. On PS4, the available walkthrough wording says Final Mix: Beginner or higher; that is not enough evidence to promise that every difficulty trophy requirement is met in one run, so confirm the selected list before starting.
Rank #2
- Used Book in Good Condition
Unchanging Armor and Undefeated
The trophy descriptions require clearing without changing equipment and without using a continue. Decide before beginning whether to satisfy either or both in a dedicated run. These constraints can shape ordinary play: changing gear or continuing after a defeat can invalidate the corresponding goal, so keep the relevant trophy condition visible while playing.
Speedster
Speedster requires defeating the World of Chaos within 15 hours. Set aside a focused story run if you also want to explore thoroughly, complete side content, and gather synthesis materials. The trophy list gives the 15-hour condition; it does not establish a universal route or completion-time estimate.

Rank #3
Level 100 and time expectations
The trophy description is “Get Sora to Level 100,” as transcribed by Kingdom Hearts Realm. Thundaka’s 2015 PS3 guide author estimate puts this task in the “50-60 hour range”; that is a personal estimate for the PS3 guide, not an official time or a guaranteed figure for other versions or play styles.
Track Journal entries and revisit earlier worlds
Jiminy’s Journal is not just a story checklist. The trophy list includes Journal categories such as story entries, Ansem Reports, character entries, 101 Dalmatians, Trinity entries, and mini-games, as well as a full-Journal goal. Some entries and collectibles become reachable only after gaining movement abilities or the relevant Trinity ability, so revisit earlier worlds as your options expand rather than assuming an initial sweep is final.
The PS3 guide notes that some puppies require later movement abilities and that earlier worlds contain Trinity marks to return for. It also identifies a final Dalmatian chest in Hollow Bastion’s Grand Hall before the keyhole is sealed. Treat that location warning as PS3-guide advice, not as a verified universal detail for every port; check a route tailored to your platform if you are tracking that specific chest.

Synthesis and rare enemies
All synthesis items are required by the trophy list. Use the in-game item list or a checklist to track missing materials, and include rare-enemy drops in your cleanup plan: the PS3 guide describes rare enemies as sources of unique synthesis materials. The cited material does not establish drop rates, so allow for repeated attempts without assuming a particular probability.

Gummi Ship challenges and blueprints
The Gummi Ship trophies add a separate challenge track to the main adventure. The PS3 guide describes repeated mission attempts as a significant part of its blueprint trophy and says much of the Gummi Ship work can be delayed until after the main game. That guide’s all-blueprints requirement is specific to its PS3 list; the PS4 source instead says 30 or more blueprints. Use the requirement shown by the trophy list on your console.
Other cleanup goals
Optional bosses, the 100-chest target, Munny, and Heartless defeats can be managed alongside exploration, but check the trophy list as you progress so that a missed condition does not force unnecessary repetition. The evidence here does not specify a complete list of missable conditions for both platforms; for any trophy that depends on a one-time story opportunity, consult a platform-matched route before passing that point.
A practical route before you press Start
- Identify the list. Confirm whether your copy is the PS3 or PS4 release and read its trophy requirements, especially difficulty and Gummi Ship trophies.
- Choose your constrained-run goals. Decide whether you will pursue no equipment changes, no continues, or the 15-hour clear in a focused playthrough.
- Explore and track the Journal. Record Dalmatians, Trinity marks, Journal categories, chests, and story-linked opportunities; revisit earlier worlds when new abilities open routes.
- Schedule cleanup. Reserve time for level 100, synthesis materials, optional bosses, and Gummi Ship missions rather than expecting the story clear to finish the list.
- Check the exact trophy text before a potentially missable event. Available sources report missable trophies, but the confirmed details differ in how much they establish by platform; do not rely on a PS3 location or route as a universal rule.
Thundaka’s GameFAQs guide also gives a personal estimate of “somewhere in the area of 150 hours” for the full HD 1.5 collection, not just Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It is a 2015 author estimate, not a completion-time study or a reliable promise for an individual player.
