The Nintendo Entertainment System (71374) is the strongest nostalgia-led option, but LEGO’s GB product page calls it retired. For an Animal Crossing scene, Blathers’s Museum Collection combines museum exhibits with the Roost café; LEGO’s US listing marks it retiring soon. These are comparisons of subject and presentation—not claims about collector demand or investment value.
Which LEGO Nintendo set suits your display?
| Set | Best fit | What LEGO highlights | Availability note |
|---|---|---|---|
| The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time – The Final Battle (77093) | A character-focused game scene | A display diorama with Link, Zelda and Navi facing Ganon; the brick-built Ganon can be removed and posed. | Availability status is not stated in the cited LEGO article; check the local product listing. |
| The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092) | A second Zelda subject to consider alongside the newer scene | LEGO identifies it as the earlier Zelda set. | Current availability and price are not stated in the cited article. |
| Nintendo Entertainment System (71374) | Classic Nintendo hardware and retro gaming | Console, controller, Game Pak cartridge and retro-style TV, which LEGO describes as a display item. | LEGO’s GB product page labels it “Retired product”; that is a regional storefront observation, not a global availability guarantee. |
| Animal Crossing: Blathers’s Museum Collection | An architectural scene with museum details | Museum exhibits and the Roost café. | LEGO’s US listing marks it “retiring soon”; recheck the local storefront because labels and stock can change. |
For a quick choice, start with what you want the shelf to communicate: a recognizable moment from a game, familiar Nintendo hardware, or a place and its details. The official descriptions support those distinctions, but do not establish which set is more desirable to collectors or likely to appreciate in value.
Why 77093 is the strongest display-first pick
The Final Battle stages the climactic confrontation from Ocarina of Time at the castle ruins, bringing Link, Zelda and Navi together against Ganon. Its defining display feature is the brick-built Ganon, which can be detached from the scene and posed separately. That makes the set more flexible to arrange than a fixed scene, according to LEGO’s description.
LEGO calls this its second set based on The Legend of Zelda. The earlier set is the Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 (77092); LEGO says the newer release adds Ganondorf to complete the main-character cast. The cited official material does not provide a current price, dimensions or full feature-by-feature comparison for the two, so choose between them by subject rather than assuming one is larger or better value.

Choose the NES for hardware nostalgia
The Nintendo Entertainment System (71374) takes a different approach from a character scene. LEGO describes recreations of the console, controller and Game Pak cartridge, alongside a retro-styled TV. The TV is specifically presented as a display item, making the set a natural choice for a gaming shelf built around iconic hardware.
There is an important availability caveat: LEGO’s GB product page labels the set “Retired product.” That status describes the cited British storefront, not every market or any remaining third-party stock. Check local LEGO and retailer listings before making plans; the cited information does not establish current resale availability or prices.

Consider Blathers’s Museum Collection for an Animal Crossing scene
Blathers’s Museum Collection is the location-focused option in this comparison. LEGO’s 2026 US article describes collectible museum exhibits and the Roost café, offering details tied to the world of Animal Crossing rather than a single action scene or piece of hardware. LEGO’s US product listing labels it “retiring soon.” Since storefront status changes and can vary by market, verify the current local listing if availability matters to your decision.

LEGO’s existing Super Mario theme is an interactive building-and-play system using LEGO Mario, Luigi and Peach figures. It is distinct in format from the newly announced minifigure-based line. On August 26, 2026, the LEGO Group announced that the new range would be available from January 1, 2027, with character, kart and environment builds. The announcement includes play-oriented examples, so it does not establish that every set in the range is designed as a display model.

How to make a practical choice
- Pick by subject: Zelda fans can choose between a specific battle scene and the earlier Great Deku Tree set; NES fans get a console-and-TV display; Animal Crossing fans get a museum environment.
- Decide how you want to present it: 77093 offers a narrative diorama and a removable poseable figure; 71374 recreates familiar hardware; Blathers’s Museum Collection centers on a built environment and its exhibits.
- Check availability in your region: distinguish LEGO’s “retiring soon” and “Retired product” labels from actual stock at local stores or third-party sellers. The cited NES status is from LEGO GB; the museum status is from LEGO US.
- Check shelf space and price locally: the official descriptions cited here do not establish comparable dimensions or current prices across all the options. Confirm those details on the product page for your market before buying.
- Do not treat display appeal as investment evidence: LEGO’s product descriptions explain themes and presentation, not collector demand, resale performance or future value.
