On Nintendo Switch 2, Lies of P: Complete Edition is available as an eShop download or a physical cartridge. Both include the base game and the Overture expansion; the cartridge edition also comes with six boss lore cards, and iam8bit’s exclusive version adds an O-sleeve. Choose digital for a download-based purchase, or physical if you want a cartridge and its extras—after checking your local price and current stock.
What does the Complete Edition include?
Nintendo describes the Complete Edition as the base game plus Overture, the prequel expansion, along with post-launch quality-of-life updates, new difficulty modes and challenge modes. The edition launched on Switch 2 on 5 August 2026 in Nintendo’s UK listing and 6 August in its Australian listing; the one-day difference reflects the regional listings.
The physical Switch 2 edition includes the full game and Overture on the cartridge, according to iam8bit. In GamesRadar’s 25 August 2026 report of an RPG Site interview, director Jiwon Choi said the team decided on a standard physical release “with the full game on the cart” when it decided to port the game to Switch 2. The available sources do not establish whether later patches or every post-launch update will be included on the shipped cartridge or require a download.

Choose digital if you prefer an eShop download
Digital is the straightforward option if you want to buy through the eShop and do not need a cartridge or physical extras. Plan for the storage shown by your regional listing: Nintendo lists 36.8 GB in the UK and 37.4 GB in Australia. Those are regional listing figures, not a single universal size. Nintendo says eShop content downloads to the linked system and requires enough storage, so check available space before purchasing.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Nintendo Australia lists Save Data Cloud support for the game and says a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership is required to use that feature. This is a cloud-save condition, not a requirement to buy the game digitally.
Choose physical if you want the cartridge and collectibles
The verified Complete Edition cartridge is a Nintendo Switch 2 release, not a confirmed Complete Edition disc for every platform on which the game is available. The standard iam8bit retail edition includes six boss lore cards; the iam8bit exclusive edition adds an O-sleeve. If those extras matter, compare the standard and exclusive editions and confirm exactly which one a retailer has in stock.

iam8bit’s product page showed a US price of $69.99, Q4 2026 shipping and sold-out status when checked in 2026. The edition page lists Amazon and GameStop as retail links, but availability and pricing may change; check the retailer’s live listing before deciding. The listed US price is not a guarantee of the price or availability in another region.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is a physical Complete Edition available on PlayStation or Xbox?
The physical Complete Edition confirmed by the cited product listing is for Switch 2. NEOWIZ lists the game on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Mac, Steam and Epic Games Store, but that platform list does not establish a Complete Edition physical disc for PlayStation or Xbox. Fireshine Games’ March 2023 announcement covers original physical editions for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One; it is not evidence of a Complete Edition disc for those consoles.

Save behavior also depends on platform. NEOWIZ says a PlayStation purchase is compatible with PS4 and PS5, but save data does not transfer between them. Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S saves can sync. These platform-specific details do not change the Switch 2 cartridge-versus-download choice.

How to decide
- Confirm your platform. The verified physical Complete Edition option is the Nintendo Switch 2 cartridge. For other platforms, check the relevant store and do not assume a Complete Edition physical disc is available.
- Check storage if buying digital. Use the size on your regional Nintendo listing—36.8 GB in the UK or 37.4 GB in Australia—and make sure the linked system has sufficient space.
- Compare the extras and live price. The cartridge includes six boss lore cards, while the iam8bit exclusive adds an O-sleeve. Check current retailer stock and pricing rather than relying on iam8bit’s 2026 sold-out listing.
- Choose based on what you value. Pick digital for the eShop format; pick physical if you want the Switch 2 cartridge and its included collectibles.
