For a 1080p YouTube Live stream sent through Livepush, first match the frame rate to your source: use 30 fps for a 30-fps source, or 60 fps when the footage and motion benefit from it. Livepush’s help guidance lists 2.5–4.5 Mbps at 30 fps and 4.5–8 Mbps at 60 fps; YouTube’s separate ingest recommendations are higher and depend on codec. The two services’ published pages do not explain how their figures relate in a relayed workflow, so test your actual encoder, Livepush route, and YouTube destination before an event.
1080p bitrate settings: Livepush input versus YouTube ingest
There is no single published bitrate that both services identify as the definitive setting for a 1080p stream relayed through Livepush. Livepush gives settings for sending a stream to Livepush, while YouTube gives recommended encoder bitrates for ingesting a stream. Treat them as separate recommendations rather than combining them into one range.
| Guidance source and workflow point | 1080p at 30 fps | 1080p at 60 fps |
|---|---|---|
| Livepush Help Center input guidance: sending a live stream to Livepush (2025) | 2.5–4.5 Mbps | 4.5–8 Mbps |
| YouTube recommended ingest bitrate for AV1 or H.265/HEVC (current page checked 2026) | 10 Mbps | 12 Mbps |
| YouTube recommended ingest bitrate for H.264 (current page checked 2026) | 14 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
| Livepush product-page recommendation for a 1080p event (page checked 2026; not the Help Center input table) | 4,000–8,000 kbps | |
The bitrate figures are not interchangeable: they come from different publishers and describe different points or contexts in the workflow. The official pages reviewed do not say why the Livepush input ranges are lower than YouTube’s codec-specific ingest recommendations, or whether the values refer to the same segment of the relay. Start with the recommendation that applies to the encoder-to-Livepush connection, then verify stream health at YouTube with your real setup.
Choose 30 or 60 fps
Use 30 fps when the source is 30 fps
For a 30-fps recording or game capture, 30 fps is the natural match. Sending it at 60 fps does not create additional source motion detail. It can increase the bandwidth requirement without improving the original footage.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Use 60 fps when the source and motion warrant it
Choose 60 fps for a 60-fps source when smoother motion matters, such as fast gameplay. Both Livepush and YouTube document support up to 60 fps. YouTube’s recommended ingest bitrate rises at 60 fps, and Livepush’s listed 1080p range also rises, so confirm that your upload connection can sustain the selected rate.
Set the encoder options that matter
- Resolution: Set the output frame size to 1920 × 1080 for 1080p. Livepush documents 1080p support.
- Frame rate: Match the source at 30 or 60 fps; avoid selecting 60 fps just because it is available.
- Rate control: Use constant bitrate (CBR), listed in both services’ guidance.
- Keyframe interval: Set 2 seconds. Both services recommend a two-second interval; YouTube says not to exceed four seconds, while Livepush identifies four seconds as its maximum.
- Video codec: Livepush’s input guide recommends H.264. YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 for encoder settings. H.264 is the common explicitly documented baseline, but the published pages do not establish a complete compatibility matrix for every encoder, Livepush configuration, and YouTube ingest combination.
- Audio: Livepush lists AAC-LC or Opus and recommends 128 kbps. YouTube lists AAC or MP3 and recommends 128 kbps for stereo. The pages do not establish that every listed option works end to end in every configuration; use a supported option in your encoder and check the audio in a test.
Check bandwidth and test the complete route
Available upload capacity must be sufficient for the stream’s bitrate, with room for normal network variation and other traffic. A connection that only just reaches the configured bitrate can produce instability. YouTube advises testing before going live with movement and audio similar to the planned stream, checking upload capacity, and monitoring stream health and messages during the event.

Note: This device is not compatible with Linux.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (5-in-1, 4K HDMI), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
- Configure the encoder for 1920 × 1080, the source-matched frame rate, CBR, and a two-second keyframe interval.
- Choose a bitrate according to the relevant published guidance above. Do not treat Livepush’s input figure as YouTube’s ingest recommendation or assume the two pages describe the same link in the chain.
- Run a private or otherwise appropriate test through the same encoder and Livepush route you plan to use for the event.
- Include representative motion and audio. Watch YouTube’s stream health and messages while the test is running, and check the resulting picture and sound.
- If the stream is unstable, lower the encoder bitrate or address competing network traffic, then test again. If YouTube reports an ingest problem, verify the selected codec and settings against the destination’s guidance.
Does Livepush Free support 1080p?
Livepush’s Help Center article dated June 17, 2024 says the Free plan is limited to 1080p. That is dated plan information, not a timeless technical limit; check Livepush’s current plan terms before relying on it. The article also documents 1080p technical support and up to 60 fps, but plan availability and technical capability are separate questions.
