If a YouTube stream is stuck loading in Livepush, first find out where the signal stops: between your source and Livepush, or between Livepush and YouTube. Check the source and destination status or analytics in the Livepush dashboard before changing keys or encoder settings. The symptom alone does not identify the cause.
1. Find the failing connection
Livepush relays a stream from its source to a destination such as YouTube. Its dashboard distinguishes source-to-service and service-to-destination connection status and analytics, so use those to narrow the problem.
- The source is not reaching Livepush: investigate the source input, encoder output, or connection from the encoder to Livepush.
- The source is present in Livepush, but the YouTube destination is unhealthy: check the destination setup, YouTube authorization or event, stream key, and—if the error points there—transport settings.
Record the exact status shown for each leg. Avoid changing several settings at once; doing so makes it harder to tell which change mattered.
2. Confirm how the YouTube destination is configured
Livepush supports a linked YouTube account flow and a manual RTMP-key flow. The checks differ, so establish which one your destination uses before troubleshooting it.

Linked YouTube account
- Confirm that the intended YouTube channel and live event are selected.
- Check that the destination configuration was saved and that its on/off switch is enabled.
- If the linked destination has stopped working, reconnect the Google/YouTube account and save the destination again. Livepush identifies a disconnected social account as a usual cause of a linked connection failing.
Manual RTMP key
- Confirm that the YouTube event exists and is the event you intend to use.
- In YouTube Live Control Room, copy the stream key for that event and check that the same key is entered in the Livepush YouTube destination.
- Manual setup is configured event by event. Livepush’s documented manual flow does not provide YouTube comments in Livepush Multi Chat.
Do not share a stream key publicly. Anyone who obtains it may be able to send a stream to the associated YouTube event.
3. Check YouTube’s stream key and the encoder
If the error is a third-party encoder startup error, YouTube’s troubleshooting guidance recommends getting a new stream key in Live Control Room and updating the encoder. Apply that check to the route you are actually using; a key change will not fix a source that is failing before it reaches Livepush.

- Update the encoder and inspect its own preview, output state, and error messages.
- Check encoder CPU load and confirm the video and audio sources routed into it are healthy.
- If the encoder reports a healthy stream but Livepush does not receive it, check the encoder’s outbound internet connection and the connection settings used to send the source to Livepush.
Livepush names OBS, Streamlabs OBS, XSplit, Wirecast, and vMix as encoder examples. The fact that an encoder is listed does not establish that switching to it will resolve a loading problem.
4. Check RTMPS only if the error points to transport
Do not change transport settings just because the page says “loading.” These checks matter when the error mentions SSL, a connection timeout, or a route configured to use RTMPS.

- Verify the server URL against the one shown in YouTube Live Control Room, and confirm that the configured protocol and server use RTMPS when that is the selected route.
- For an SSL error, YouTube advises trying port 443.
- If timeouts continue, check whether the encoder supports RTMPS.
5. Check whether YouTube live streaming is enabled
Confirm that live streaming is enabled for the YouTube channel. Livepush’s setup guide says activation for a new YouTube account can take up to 24 hours. That is an activation note for new accounts, not an explanation for every loading failure.
6. If it still loads, escalate with useful details
When the connection checks do not reveal the cause, send support enough information to identify the failing leg. Include:

- The time the issue occurred and the exact Livepush source and YouTube destination statuses.
- Whether the YouTube destination is linked or manually configured, and whether the YouTube event is active or otherwise showing an error.
- Whether the source is visible in Livepush, plus the exact encoder or YouTube Live Control Room error text.
Contact Livepush or YouTube support as appropriate. Never include the stream key in a public post or an unsecured message.
