Logitech G introduced three G915 X gaming keyboards in September 2024: the full-size G915 X LIGHTSPEED, the tenkeyless G915 X LIGHTSPEED TKL, and the wired G915 X. All use low-profile GL mechanical switches with a stated 1.3 mm actuation point; the main choices are keyboard size and whether you want wireless connectivity.

What Logitech G launched

The G915 X family appeared in Logitech G’s Logi PLAY 2024 announcement. Logitech described the keyboard as 23 mm high and “one of the Company’s thinnest low-profile wireless gaming keyboards” (Logitech International, 2024). The European announcement named three versions and gave a 17 September 2024 availability date, with launch prices in euros (Logitech Europe, 2024).

Model Layout Connection Launch price in Europe
G915 X LIGHTSPEED Full-size, with numpad Tri-mode wireless €249.99
G915 X LIGHTSPEED TKL Tenkeyless Tri-mode wireless €229.99
G915 X Wired Full-size Wired €199.99

These are the European launch prices, not guaranteed current prices. Logitech’s US pages list $259.99 for the wireless full-size model and $199.99 for the wired model; storefront prices and promotions may differ by market.

Which G915 X model fits your setup?

G915 X LIGHTSPEED: full-size wireless

Choose the full-size LIGHTSPEED model if you want a numpad alongside wireless operation. Logitech lists tri-mode connectivity, KEYCONTROL, LIGHTSYNC RGB, nine G keys, and GL mechanical switches on its US product page. Logitech says the switches actuate at 1.3 mm. The page’s $259.99 price is the listed US storefront price, which can change.

Switches, controls and gaming use

Logitech states a 1.3 mm actuation point for the GL low-profile switches. The TKL specifications give an actuation distance of 1.3 mm ± 0.30 mm and list linear, tactile, and clicky switch options with different actuation-force ranges. Check the specific model and switch variant before ordering, since the available choices may vary.

KEYCONTROL allows key assignments and macros; Logitech describes nine G keys on the full-size wireless and wired pages, with up to 15 functions per key specified for the wired model. LIGHTSYNC RGB provides per-key lighting effects. These features make the range relevant to gaming and streaming setups that benefit from programmable controls, but the specific advantages depend on how you use macros and lighting. The wireless models also allow switching between supported connection modes, while the wired model avoids wireless setup and charging.

Is the G915 X worth buying?

The range is most compelling if you specifically want a low-profile mechanical keyboard with a 1.3 mm stated actuation point, programmable controls, and a choice between full-size and TKL layouts. For a numpad and wireless use, compare the full-size LIGHTSPEED with the TKL if desk space matters more than the numpad. Choose wired if cable connection is acceptable and battery independence is more important than wireless flexibility. Launch prices and current regional storefront prices are not directly interchangeable, so compare the price offered in your market before buying.
