Logitech G announced the PRO X 60 LIGHTSPEED Gaming Keyboard on April 9, 2024. It is a premium 60% wireless gaming keyboard launched at $179 in the US, with LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth and USB connections, plus Logitech’s KEYCONTROL customization. Its compact footprint leaves more room for mouse movement, but the trade-off is losing dedicated arrow, function and navigation keys. As of 2026, it is an established product—not a new launch.
Launch date, price and availability
Logitech G unveiled the PRO X 60 on April 9, 2024, positioning it as a compact board for competitive players and desk setups where mouse space matters. Launch MSRP was $179 in the United States, €199 in Europe and £189 in the United Kingdom. The announced color options were black, white and pink/magenta, with exact colors and switch combinations varying by market and SKU. Logitech’s launch announcement has the original pricing and availability details; those launch prices are not a guarantee of current prices or stock.
Logitech’s regional support listings note that product numbers can differ by region. When shopping, check the exact listing for both the switch type and color rather than relying on a nearly identical product name.

“60%” describes a much smaller physical layout than a full-size keyboard or tenkeyless (TKL) board. The PRO X 60 has no number pad, dedicated function row, separate arrow cluster or dedicated navigation cluster. Those functions are accessed through secondary commands and customization rather than disappearing altogether.

The board measures 290 × 103 × 39 mm (about 11.4 × 4 × 1.5 inches) and weighs 610 g with its battery, according to Logitech’s specifications. It is small on the desk, but not an ultralight travel keyboard.
KEYCONTROL: useful layers, with a learning curve
Logitech’s KEYCONTROL system, configured through G HUB, lets users assign alternate actions to keys and set up layers for different games or applications. Logitech product copy reproduced in a Best Buy listing describes five customizable layers.

That flexibility helps compensate for the compact layout: a player can create game-specific commands without adding physical keys. But a configured layer is not quite the same as reaching for a dedicated arrow key or function key. You need to learn the secondary assignments, and advanced customization depends on G HUB. If you want a keyboard that works like a conventional layout without setup, this is a meaningful drawback rather than a minor adjustment.
Switches, keycaps and physical controls
The PRO X 60 uses GX optical switches, available in separate linear and tactile versions. Linear switches move without a pronounced tactile bump; tactile switches provide a bump during the press. Check the exact SKU before ordering. “Optical” describes how a switch registers a press; it does not mean it will automatically feel or perform better for every player. Nor should buyers assume these are conventional hot-swappable MX-style switches: the available specifications and listings do not establish broad compatibility with standard replacement switches.

The board has dual-shot PBT keycaps and customizable LIGHTSYNC RGB lighting. Physical features include a side-mounted volume wheel, a Game Mode control and controls for changing wireless modes. TechRadar’s review found the volume wheel convenient, though it does not click to mute; muting uses an Fn shortcut. There is no wrist rest in the box, which may matter during long typing sessions.
Logitech’s support listing includes a LIGHTSPEED USB receiver, USB-A-to-USB-C cable, USB extender, carrying case and spare Logitech G keycap. The extender can help position the receiver nearer the keyboard when a desktop’s rear USB ports are poorly placed.

LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth, USB and battery
The keyboard supports three connection methods: LIGHTSPEED 2.4-GHz wireless through the included receiver, Bluetooth for compatible devices, and USB wired mode through the included cable. LIGHTSPEED is the mode to prioritize for gaming; Bluetooth is useful for general use and device flexibility, but should not be treated as equivalent to the dedicated gaming connection. USB offers a wired option and charges the keyboard.
Logitech’s advertised battery figure is up to 65 hours. TechRadar reported that its testing was broadly consistent with that claim, while taking about three hours to charge from half to full. Runtime varies with RGB brightness, connection mode, use and other conditions, so 65 hours is a manufacturer figure, not a guaranteed result for every setup.

How it performs—and where it compromises
Independent reviews from TechRadar and WIRED describe reliable LIGHTSPEED operation in testing, quick switching between LIGHTSPEED and Bluetooth, and responsive-feeling switches for gaming and typing. The compact footprint is the clear practical gaming advantage: it leaves more space for mouse movement.
The feel is not universally ideal. TechRadar characterized the switches as relatively snappy but not heavily damped, and noted that some users may find them clickier or harsher than a more sound-dampened keyboard. The absence of dedicated keys also affects ordinary typing, coding and spreadsheet work—not just gaming. TechRadar rated performance 4/5 and value 3/5; those are that reviewer’s judgments, not a universal measure. Its central value concern is understandable at a $179 launch price: buyers are paying a premium for compact wireless gaming and Logitech features, not for a full set of keys.
PRO X 60: the main pros and cons
- Pros: very compact; LIGHTSPEED, Bluetooth and USB; linear or tactile optical switch choice; KEYCONTROL layers; PBT keycaps and RGB; carrying case included.
- Cons: premium launch price; no dedicated arrows, function row or navigation cluster; software setup is important for customization; no included wrist rest; optical switches are not a promise of standard mechanical switch compatibility; no Hall-effect or analog actuation features.
How it compares with alternatives
- Logitech PRO X TKL LIGHTSPEED: A better fit if you want Logitech’s wireless ecosystem but need dedicated arrow and function keys. It takes more desk space. Retailer sale prices are time-sensitive, so compare current listings rather than treating a past price as a standing deal.
- SteelSeries Apex Pro TKL: A larger alternative for buyers interested in Hall-effect/analog-style features and adjustable actuation. The wired model discussed in TechRadar’s comparison gives up the PRO X 60’s compact wireless convenience.
- Keychron C3 Pro: A more budget-oriented, wired, TKL-style option for people who prioritize conventional mechanical typing and a lower price over Logitech’s wireless gaming features.
- Corsair Clipper Pro Mini 60: A lower-priced compact alternative cited in retailer listings. Compare the exact model’s switch system, software and connectivity before deciding; its smaller price alone does not establish feature-for-feature equivalence.
Who should buy the PRO X 60?
It makes the most sense for competitive FPS players who want more mouse room, gamers with small desks, and people already comfortable with 60% layouts or willing to configure layers in G HUB. It is also a sensible shortlist option if you want compact wireless gaming plus Bluetooth flexibility, a carrying case and LIGHTSYNC integration.

Choose a TKL or larger layout instead if you routinely use arrow keys, function keys, navigation controls or a number pad; those who code, work in spreadsheets or type for long periods may find the smaller layout and lack of a wrist rest especially inconvenient. Look elsewhere if your priorities are conventional hot-swappable switches, Hall-effect adjustable actuation, or the strongest feature-per-dollar value.
Verdict: The PRO X 60 is a capable, feature-rich compact wireless gaming keyboard, but its best feature and biggest compromise are the same: it saves space by replacing dedicated keys with layers. Buy it for that trade—especially if LIGHTSPEED and Logitech customization matter to you—not simply because it is a small gaming keyboard.
