Lorena and the Land of Ruins is a single-player PC game that combines third-person shooting, platforming, and exploration. The Steam edition, developed by Shimenawan and published by NekoNyan Ltd., launched on May 25, 2023. It supports keyboard and mouse as well as controllers, and Steam lists a GeForce GTX 970 or better as its minimum graphics requirement.
What kind of game is Lorena and the Land of Ruins?
Steam describes it as a “third-person 3D platform shooter.” In play, shooting and movement sit alongside exploration, traps, dungeon gimmicks, and light puzzle elements. Steam user tags also include “Third-Person Shooter,” “3D Platformer,” “Action-Adventure,” and “Exploration”; those are player-applied tags rather than formal classifications.
The story follows Lorena, who becomes an adventurer to earn money for her sister’s treatment. She meets Xeera, a scientist investigating the Divine Dragon, an ancient relic. Their expedition leads through ruins that include sunken boats and underground cities as they seek to revive the dragon and uncover other relics and secrets. Steam store page
