To set up a Loupedeck Live S, install the current Loupedeck software, connect the console by USB, then enable and configure the plugin for OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, or Twitch. For OBS and Streamlabs, the streaming app must be running for the plugin to connect and expose its scenes or sources. The current Loupedeck download page lists version 6.4.1 for Windows 10 or later and macOS 10.15 or later; older setup guides describe version-specific pairings, so check the current software guidance if your setup differs.
Before you set up Live S
Check the computer and software requirements
The current Loupedeck download page lists software version 6.4.1 for Windows 10 or later and OS X 10.15 or later. The Live S product listing also specifies Windows 10+ and macOS 10.15+. An older Live S requirements article says macOS 10.14 or higher, so use 10.15 as the current listed installation requirement rather than relying on that older minimum. Connect the physical console
Live S is a wired control surface. The official product listing includes a 2 m USB-C-to-USB-C cable, a USB-C-to-A adapter and a detachable stand. The manufacturer lists its dimensions as 150 × 85.5 × 30 mm and its weight as 168 g. If you are buying a used or open-box unit, check that the cable and adapter are present and that the seller’s return and warranty terms are clear. Loupedeck Live S product page
Install Loupedeck software and connect Live S
- Download the installer. Choose the current Loupedeck software for your operating system from the downloads page, and confirm that your OS meets the listed requirement.
- Install and open the app. On Windows, run the installer and open Loupedeck Setup from the taskbar icon or Start menu. On macOS, install the app, open it from Applications, and use its menu-bar controls.
- Allow macOS Accessibility access if prompted or needed. If Live S controls stop responding in a target app, check System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Accessibility and confirm Loupedeck is allowed.
- Connect the console by USB. Use the included USB-C cable, adding the included USB-C-to-A adapter if the computer has a USB-A port.
- Sign in to your Loupedeck account. Internet access is required for downloading the software and connecting to the account.

Set up Loupedeck Live S with OBS Studio
Check the version pairing in the OBS guide
Loupedeck’s dedicated OBS guide pairs OBS Studio 28.0 or newer with Loupedeck software 5.3, and OBS 27 or earlier with Loupedeck 5.2. The current download page lists version 6.4.1, so those pairings are historical guidance for the versions named, not a guarantee for every current combination. Add OBS actions to controls
- Open OBS Studio and Loupedeck Setup.
- In the Loupedeck action panel, find the OBS actions you want to use.
- Drag an action onto a Live S button or dial. Configure it if the action presents additional options.
- For scenes created through the guide’s workflow, look in “Stored OBS Studio Actions.”
Fix a red OBS status dot
A red dot on the OBS icon means the plugin is not connected. Start OBS. If OBS is already open and the dot remains, restart Loupedeck software. OBS setup and connection guidance

Fix missing OBS scenes or sources
- In OBS, open Tools > WebSockets Server Settings.
- Check that Authentication is unchecked, as directed by Loupedeck’s support instructions.
- Toggle Enable WebSockets server off and on again, then click OK.
- On Windows, run OBS and Loupedeck at the same privilege level: both as administrator or both as a standard user.

Set up Loupedeck Live S with Streamlabs Desktop
Assign scenes and sources
Loupedeck recommends current versions of Streamlabs Desktop and Loupedeck software. The dynamic scene and source folders described in its guide were introduced with the Streamlabs plugin in Loupedeck 5.8. Open Streamlabs Desktop while assigning actions: its scenes and sources populate in the dynamic folders in Loupedeck’s action panel, and newly added items may take a short time to appear. Resolve a disconnected plugin or app conflict
- Yellow dot on the Streamlabs icon: Open Streamlabs Desktop. With older plugin versions—Loupedeck 5.7 or earlier—the dot may be red instead; the guide likewise advises opening Streamlabs.
- “Could not connect to Streamlabs” or competing app processes: Loupedeck support says OBS Studio and Streamlabs Desktop cannot run simultaneously with Loupedeck because they use the same process underneath. Close both streaming apps and Loupedeck, stop Loupedeck from the system tray, then open Streamlabs Desktop followed by Loupedeck.

Connect Twitch to Loupedeck
- Have both a Twitch account and a Loupedeck account.
- Sign in to Loupedeck Setup.
- In the action panel, choose Hide and Show Plugins and enable the Twitch plugin.
- Open the Twitch plugin’s action tab and authenticate your Twitch account through the browser flow.
If Twitch will not connect, Loupedeck’s troubleshooting flow recommends removing the Twitch account from Loupedeck’s general settings and streaming profile, logging out of both Loupedeck Setup and the Twitch website, then signing back in and reconnecting Twitch through Manage Plugins or account settings. Its support article reports that the flow may display a 127.0.0.1 error page after connecting, but that report does not establish that every such error means authentication succeeded. Is Loupedeck Live S still available and supported?
Logitech announced on March 28, 2025, that it had stopped selling the Loupedeck product line and would focus future development on the Logitech MX Creative Console and its ecosystem. It said remaining Loupedeck inventory would be available through authorized retailers while supplies lasted, and that warranty claims and technical support would continue as usual. The announcement also said the shared backend introduced in software release 6.0 would let Loupedeck owners use future software updates and plugins developed for Creative Console; it does not establish that every future MX plugin will work with Live S or that support terms are guaranteed indefinitely. A product page displaying an “On sale” label does not by itself show that direct sales have resumed. If considering a remaining-stock or used unit, verify the seller, condition, included accessories, return policy and warranty eligibility.
