What 2K documented for PC
In a historical support notice, 2K’s 2K Mike said the game launched with a 30 FPS cap and that a patch in development at the studio would add 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options to the PC video menu. This confirms the availability of those options after the patch; it is not a benchmark and does not report average FPS, frame pacing, or a measured gain over the original build. 2K’s published PC requirements give a rough hardware baseline, but they do not predict a particular frame rate. The requirements list Windows 7 64-bit as the minimum operating system and 50 GB of storage for both tiers. 2K’s PC system requirements specify:

Should you buy Definitive Edition if you own the original?
If your original copy is on PS4, Xbox One, or Steam, check your library for the edition and its add-on entitlements before paying again. Steam owners should check for the automatically added DLC; console owners should check for the free content pack described by 2K. If you are buying the game for the first time, compare the current listing on your platform and consider whether the included expansions and bonus packs matter to you.
