Maryland forward Robert Jennings II has reportedly been cleared for all basketball-related activities, according to an October 2, 2026 RotoWire update citing CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein. That is an activity-clearance update, not confirmation that Jennings will play in a particular game.
What the update says—and what it does not
RotoWire reported: “Jennings (hip) has been cleared for all basketball related activities, per Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports.” The report does not say that Maryland officially announced the clearance. It also does not establish that Jennings has appeared in a game, is available for a specific matchup, will start, or has a particular minutes expectation.
Maryland’s official roster lists Jennings for the 2026–27 team, but the roster entry confirms his place on the team, not his health or game readiness.
What happened to Jennings’s hip?
Terrapin Times reported that a hip injury ended Jennings’s 2025–26 season after three games and that he received a medical redshirt. The October 2 clearance report is the later update; neither source provides a detailed medical prognosis.
