Memory Mania 2026 ran from September 16 through September 29, 2026, and its timed collection period has ended. The event required collecting Riley memorabilia around Disney Dreamlight Valley, completing memories and event duties, and following Joy’s mystery quest. If you accepted Joy’s first quest before September 29, the official event notice says that quest track can still be completed after the event; do not assume the hourly collectible spawns remain available.
How to start Memory Mania
2026 prerequisite
Unlock Joy, then speak with her and accept the first Memory Mania mystery quest. That conversation starts the new 2026 Joy-led storyline and is the important deadline-sensitive step. The event’s collectible duties also send you through locations connected with Mickey, Goofy, Merlin, Scrooge McDuck, Remy, WALL-E and Moana.
If the event has already ended
As of October 2, 2026, the September 16–29 event window is closed. Players who accepted Joy’s first quest before the closing date can continue that quest chain, according to the official announcement. The announcement does not establish that new memorabilia can still be collected after the window, so treat the timed collection loop as unavailable once the event closes.
Where to find every Riley collectible
Each collectible type appears once per hour and can have a maximum of two instances present at a time. Pick up items regularly so the next hourly spawn can replace them.

Riley’s Hockey Trophy
Search inside Scrooge McDuck’s Store. Only one Trophy spawns per hourly cycle, with no more than two waiting in the store at once. Six Trophy pieces complete its memory.
Riley’s Hockey Gear
Check Mickey’s House, Goofy’s House and Merlin’s House. The gear route covers all three houses, but the type still follows the one-per-hour, two-present cap. Six pieces are required.

Riley’s Birthday Cake
Enter the Remy, WALL-E and Moana Realms and search those realm areas for the cake. Six cakes complete the associated memory, subject to the same hourly respawn and two-item cap.
Riley’s Phone
Look around Chez Remy in the base Village rather than in a realm. Phone collection is a separate route and requires ten pieces, the highest requirement among the four memories.

The fastest collection loop
- Accept Joy’s first quest. Confirm the quest is active before spending time on the route.
- Visit Scrooge’s Store. Pick up any Riley’s Hockey Trophy inside.
- Check the three houses. Search Mickey’s, Goofy’s and Merlin’s houses for Riley’s Hockey Gear.
- Run the realm route. Enter the Remy, WALL-E and Moana Realms and collect Riley’s Birthday Cake.
- Finish at Chez Remy. Search the area outside Chez Remy in the base Village for Riley’s Phone.
- Clear every spawn. Remove items instead of leaving them on the ground; the game can hold only two of each type.
- Return after an hour. Repeat the same route after the one-hour respawn interval until you reach 6 Trophy, 6 Gear, 6 Cake and 10 Phone pieces.
- Turn in duties and the Joy chain. Complete the achievement duties and finish Joy’s mystery quest while the event content is available, or continue an already accepted Joy quest after the event if your save qualifies.

Respawn rules and common problems
Nothing appears at a listed location
- Check whether you already have two of that collectible type waiting somewhere in its route; the cap prevents a third from appearing.
- Pick up every visible copy, then wait for the next hourly cycle.
- Recheck the correct category: Phones are around Chez Remy in the base Village, while Cakes are in the Remy, WALL-E and Moana Realms.
You have fewer than the required memory count
Use the memory totals rather than the number of locations as your target: Trophy 6, Hockey Gear 6, Birthday Cake 6 and Phone 10. The three-house and three-realm routes do not reduce those requirements; they are simply the places where each item type can spawn.

You started Joy’s quest after September 29
The documented post-event exception applies to players who accepted the first Joy quest before the event closed. A newly started quest after the deadline is not confirmed to receive the same continuation, and the timed memorabilia window should be considered closed.
