The tower is the key prerequisite: without clearing it, the noble will not offer the negotiation option you need.
Deeds and Diversions: quick route
- Accept the request from the Overfamiliar Man outside the Nightprowler in Angler’s Inn Square, Port Brilehaven.
- Complete the Superior Scrimshaw request, locate Forsaken Tower, and defeat its boss.
- Speak with the Pompous Noble at the Varmareno Coliseum near Arenafront Wharf.
- Choose the dialogue options that establish familiarity, criticize the arena, and then raise Forsaken Tower. Request the Deed.
- Return to the Overfamiliar Man and hand over the Deed to collect the reward.
Where to find the quest giver
Look for the Overfamiliar Man outside the Nightprowler in Angler’s Inn Square, Port Brilehaven. Push Square lists the request as available from 7/23, with no deadline; the source does not specify a year for that date. Push Square’s requests guide provides the availability and deadline listing.
Clear Forsaken Tower before negotiating
The Pompous Noble’s deed bargain is gated by the Forsaken Tower boss encounter. The route is tied to the Superior Scrimshaw request: Gamer Guides advises buying the relevant informant intel at the Brilehaven tavern to reveal the tower, then clearing it. Push Square summarizes the gate as visiting the tower and defeating its boss. If the noble does not offer the required conversation, check that the tower boss is defeated before trying again.
Talk to the Pompous Noble
Go to the Varmareno Coliseum near Arenafront Wharf and speak with the Pompous Noble. Walkthroughs agree on the opening and later key responses, but differ in how they transcribe the third answer. Treat the wording as a guide to the intended response rather than a guaranteed exact sequence across localizations.

- Select “Such a tawdry arena, this.”
- For the next response, choose the option expressing that you have seen greater wonders or prefer real fights. Published walkthroughs give different versions of this line.
- After the ensuing story prompt, ask, “You know the Forsaken Tower?”
- Select “I’d like the Deed.”
Push Square transcribes the third response as “I prefer real fights”; Gamer Guides gives “I’ve seen greater wonders,” while Dexerto lists “I’ve seen great wonders.” The accounts agree on the purpose of the exchange and on the subsequent Forsaken Tower prompt and Deed request. Once you have the Deed, go back to the Overfamiliar Man outside the Nightprowler in Angler’s Inn Square. Deliver it to finish the request. The listed reward is Chef’s Toque and 10,000 Reeves; some guides spell the currency “Reeve.” Gamer Guides’ quest walkthrough and its quest database entry list the reward.
