Microsoft Rewards for Xbox is still active, but “not working” can mean several different things: the Rewards tab may be missing, quests may fail to load, points may be delayed, or an activity may be unavailable for your account. There is no evidence here of a confirmed universal outage.
The fastest diagnostic is to open the Microsoft Rewards dashboard. If it works in a browser, the problem is probably limited to the Xbox app, console interface, cached session, or a particular quest.
Is Microsoft Rewards for Xbox gone?
No. Microsoft’s current Rewards with Xbox page describes daily, weekly, and monthly quests for eligible members. Game Pass Premium and Ultimate members can receive additional quests and enhanced earning benefits.
Availability varies by market, account eligibility, age, Game Pass plan, and the specific offer. A missing tab or changed interface does not by itself mean Microsoft has ended the program.

Microsoft has also experienced previous cross-platform Rewards failures. In one February 2026 community report, users said the Rewards experience disappeared from mobile, PC, and console while some activity notifications continued to arrive. That is evidence that similar failures can happen; it does not confirm that the service is down for everyone now.
For official help, use Xbox Support rather than unofficial Rewards-recovery services.
First, identify what is failing

Use the Rewards dashboard as a fallback
- Open rewards.bing.com in a browser.
- Confirm that it is signed in to the same personal Microsoft account used on Xbox.
- Check whether quests, progress, points, and redemption options load.
- Try the dashboard on a phone or PC if it fails on your usual device.
If the dashboard works, the account and Rewards service are reachable. The Xbox app or console display is then the more likely problem, and you may be able to complete or inspect available activities in the browser.
If the dashboard also fails on several devices and networks, the issue may be account-wide, regional, eligibility-related, or service-side. Capture the error before changing account settings.

Fix the Xbox app
Windows
- Press Win + I.
- Go to Apps → Installed apps.
- Find Xbox, open its advanced options, and choose Reset.
- Reopen Xbox and sign in again.
Windows labels can vary between releases. Resetting the app changes local app data; it does not delete your Microsoft account or Xbox game saves. Also install pending Xbox app and Windows updates before testing again.
Android
- Open Settings → Apps → Xbox.
- Choose Storage and tap Clear cache.
- Force-stop Xbox, reopen it, and sign in again.
- If necessary, reinstall it from Google Play.
Clear the cache before clearing all app data, since clearing data is more disruptive and may remove the local sign-in state.
iPhone and iPad
- Delete the Xbox app.
- Restart the device.
- Reinstall Xbox from the App Store.
- Sign in to the intended Microsoft account and check Rewards again.
Test once with Wi-Fi disabled and mobile data enabled. If it works only on mobile data, the original Wi-Fi network or its filtering may be interfering with the app.

Xbox console
- Quit the Xbox app or Rewards screen.
- Restart the console normally.
- Confirm that the intended account is signed in and the console is online.
- Open Rewards again, then compare the result with the browser dashboard.
A previous community incident included reports that gameplay notifications continued while the Rewards interface failed. That suggests activity detection and displaying or claiming a reward can fail separately, although Microsoft did not officially establish the cause in that report.

Check your account and eligibility
Not every member sees the same quests. Microsoft says availability can vary by market, Rewards level, Game Pass plan, and offer. Gameplay rewards generally require members to be at least 18.
Check the following:
- The Xbox app and browser dashboard use the same personal Microsoft account.
- You are not signed in with a work or school account.
- Your account country or region is supported.
- You meet the relevant age requirement.
- Your expected Game Pass plan is active.
- The game, launcher, and activity qualify for that quest.
Game Pass is not universally required for all Xbox Rewards activities. Premium and Ultimate can unlock additional quests, but subscribing will not repair a broken app or guarantee that a missing quest returns. Microsoft’s page also lists exclusions, including certain titles that require third-party launchers such as Battle.net.
Do not repeatedly change your Microsoft account region to chase missing offers. Region changes can create separate Store, subscription, and eligibility complications.

Temporarily test without a VPN, private DNS, ad-blocking DNS, corporate or school Wi-Fi, hotel Wi-Fi, or restrictive parental-control filtering. Try a mobile hotspot, home network, or wired connection.

This does not prove that Microsoft blocks every VPN. It is simply a way to determine whether filtering is preventing the Xbox app from loading its Rewards requests correctly.

Do not assume points are permanently lost immediately after completing an activity. Synchronization may take time, especially when the activity was completed near a daily reset or while the app was displaying an error.
- Check the browser dashboard.
- Wait before repeatedly refreshing or repeating the same activity.
- Look for a gameplay or completion notification.
- Record the quest name, time, and expected points.
- Check whether the balance updates after the app recovers.
A notification can suggest that activity was detected, but it is not a promise that points will be credited. Microsoft’s account records determine the final result.

Take screenshots of the error, the quest, and any completion notification as soon as possible. Check the browser dashboard, console, and another device. Complete an alternative activity only if the Rewards page itself says it qualifies; do not assume that any gameplay will preserve a streak.

There is no guarantee that Microsoft will restore a missed streak or award points retroactively, so preserve evidence and contact support promptly if the daily reset is approaching.
When to contact Microsoft
Contact Microsoft through Xbox Support if the dashboard and all devices fail, points remain missing after synchronization, redemption fails, or an account, market, or eligibility warning appears.
Include:
- A screenshot of the exact error.
- Device model, platform, and operating-system version.
- Xbox app version, if relevant.
- Your account region.
- The quest or offer name.
- The date and approximate time of completion.
- Whether the browser dashboard works.
- Whether the problem occurs on console, PC, and mobile.
- Any notification showing the activity was completed.
- The approximate number of points missing.
Do not use unofficial APKs, modified clients, VPNs to bypass market availability, multiple accounts, or third-party “point recovery” vendors.

Bottom line
Microsoft Rewards for Xbox has not been shown to be permanently discontinued. Most “not working” reports fall into one of four groups: a local app or session problem, an eligibility limitation, delayed synchronization, or a service-side failure affecting some users. The browser Rewards dashboard is the quickest way to separate those cases and the best fallback when the Xbox interface is unavailable.
