There is no single best Miitopia job for every party. Choose by the role you need—damage, healing, or support—and by how you want your Mii to behave in battle. Jobs affect skills and job-based stats; personality affects battle behavior, while food and equipped gear also change overall stats.
Which Miitopia job is best?
The best job depends on your party and preferred play style, not a universal ranking. For a straightforward melee fighter, the Warrior is a practical choice: the Switch-era guide from iMore describes it as strong in attack and defense from the start. Choose Mage if you want powerful ranged magic early. If your party needs another role, consider a job built around healing, ally support, or a different kind of damage.

When comparing jobs, consider the role your party lacks, attack and support options, durability and speed, skill costs and unlock levels, and whether a Mii’s personality suits the behavior you want. The recommendations below are guide-based suggestions, not official requirements.

#1 Best Overall
- Head out on a hilariously quirky quest with your favourite Mii characters in Miitopia for Nintendo Switch!
- Everyone in Miitopia is a Mii! Whether it’s the fearless hero, the beautiful Princess or even the nefarious Dark Lord, you decide who stars in this story. You could have your best mates join you in battle, dress Grandad up like a king, or turn Mum into the big baddie. The choice is yours!
- In the world of Miitopia, relationships are key, so consider spending some quality time with your allies to strengthen bonds. This can give you an advantage during battle – but if your relationships sour, things might take a turn for the worse!
- The Nintendo Switch version contains new features too, such as makeup and wigs to glam your Mii up and make them even more fabulous. You can even have a horse as an ally. Care for it and it’ll lend a hoof in battles!
A fan-maintained jobs page says there are fourteen jobs in total, including secret jobs. Treat it as a secondary reference rather than an official source for unlock requirements; the cited Nintendo material does not provide a complete Switch job-unlock guide.
How do personalities affect jobs?
Nintendo’s Japanese Miitopia Nintendo Switch page describes seven personality choices and says they influence battle behavior. For example, a kind Mii may protect an ally but sometimes avoid finishing an enemy, while a laid-back Mii may alternate between serious effort and slacking off. These behavioral differences matter most when the game is controlling the Mii.

What do Miitopia’s stats mean?
Nintendo’s Miitopia 3DS manual explains that stats indicate a Mii’s strengths. Its stat screen separates the job’s contribution from changes provided by grub and equipped weapon and outfit, then shows totals. The manual is for the 3DS edition; use it here for the stat definitions, not as a complete Switch job reference.

- Bring your friends into battle Engage in turn-based combat against outlandish baddies like the gyrating Twerky to gain experience and level up characters.
- Tailor your strategy by assigning Mii characters jobs like mage, warrior, and pop star that will determine their approach to battle. Need a boost? Food is used to recover health and magic to keep your party in fighting shape.
- HP: Stamina. It falls when the Mii takes damage; at zero, the Mii cannot fight.
- MP: Spent when using magical spells or skills.
- Attack: Affects damage from weapon attacks.
- Magic: Affects magical attack and healing strength.
- Defense: Affects damage taken from enemies.
- Speed: Determines action order.
Do not compare a job’s overall stats without checking level, food bonuses, and equipment. iMore’s 2021 Warrior figures illustrate the difference between a job’s level-based values and a fully boosted example:
| Warrior example | HP | MP | Attack | Magic | Defense | Speed |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | 12 | 4 | 12 | 0 | 5 | 5 |
| Level 50 | 310 | 62 | 114 | 10 | 94 | 48 |
| Level 50, best equipment and maximum food buffs | 409 | 161 | 451 | 109 | 406 | 147 |
These are figures published by iMore, not independent testing. The last row includes both equipment and maximum food buffs; it is not a set of base job stats. See iMore’s Miitopia stats guide for its tables.

How do skills and progression work?
Jobs learn abilities as Miis level up. Skills vary in effect and may consume MP, so compare both the ability and its cost rather than judging a job by its role label alone. For example, iMore lists Warrior’s Jump Slash at level 3 and Proud Protector at level 5; its job material also describes Imp abilities including Brain Drain and Energy Drain. Exact skill details and level requirements should be checked against the game version you are playing.
The guides cited here do not establish a complete, official Switch skill inventory for every job. This overview therefore uses examples to show how job abilities differ rather than presenting an exhaustive skills table. See iMore’s job guide for its job and skill listings.
