That was about five weeks before the game’s listed June 10 release for PS5 and PC. The report did not establish that Build A Rocket Boy confirmed the leak or that the footage came from a final build.
What did the leaked MindsEye footage reportedly show?
Insider Gaming’s May 3, 2025 report said a streamer had broadcast what it called “secret” content. It described the few minutes of footage as showing open-world driving gameplay and combat mechanics. That description is the report’s account of the clips, not an official breakdown from the developer.

A ResetEra thread indexed as starting May 3 also included clip links and user discussion. The thread documents that links and conversation circulated; user posts do not verify the clips’ origin, authenticity, or the build shown.
When did the leak happen?
The report appeared on May 3, roughly five weeks before the June 10, 2025 release date listed for the PS5 and PC versions. “About a month before release” is a reasonable shorthand, though “five weeks before launch” is more precise.

What had Build A Rocket Boy announced about the game?
In a February 12, 2025 PlayStation Blog post, Dan Bulteel, Build A Rocket Boy’s VP of Community and Creators, described MindsEye as a “narrative-driven, single-player action-adventure thriller.” The story follows Jacob Diaz, a former soldier troubled by memories tied to a covert mission and a neural implant. The setting is Redrock, a fictional desert city, and the premise involves technology, corporate power, and AI.
The developer’s pre-release overview said players would fight on foot, drive, and take part in aerial sequences. It also mentioned cover, use of the environment, enemy behavior, a companion drone, and high-speed chases. Those details describe what the studio announced; they do not independently verify what appears in the leaked clips.

What is and isn’t established about the leak?
The available reports establish that leaked gameplay was reported online and describe the footage as containing driving and combat. They do not establish who first obtained the clips, whether the streamer was authorized to broadcast them, whether they showed a final build, or whether Build A Rocket Boy officially responded. A short leak is not enough to judge the finished game’s quality.
The PlayStation product page lists a PS5 edition, while Steam lists the PC version and identifies Build A Rocket Boy as developer and publisher. Both list June 10, 2025 as the release date: PlayStation’s MindsEye listing and MindsEye on Steam.
