As of October 8, 2026, Mojang’s official FAQ lists the latest event as Fall 2026, held on September 26; it does not give a date for the next event.
What date did the early report claim?
Insider Gaming reported on August 12, 2025, that a Spanish-language Mojang FAQ showed Minecraft LIVE on September 22, 2025, at 1 p.m. ET. The report also noted that Microsoft and Mojang had not confirmed the date at that time. Insider Gaming’s report

When was the latest Minecraft LIVE?
Mojang’s official FAQ says Fall 2026 Minecraft LIVE was held on September 26, 2026, at 1 p.m. ET. That date has passed. The FAQ reviewed for this article does not state when the next Minecraft LIVE will take place, so there is no confirmed upcoming date to report as of October 8, 2026. The Sift and Minecraft World
The Sift was announced for Java and Bedrock in 2027. Mojang described it as the first new dimension in more than 14 years. Minecraft World was announced for Chessington World of Adventures Resort in London in 2027, with a themed hotel and the Escape the Nether rollercoaster.

Minecraft Dungeons II and the next game drop
Mojang’s recap said Minecraft Dungeons II would launch on September 29, 2026. The next game drop preview featured ice caves, icicles and ice crystals, as well as an unnamed frozen zombie variant that can inflict a freezing effect and throw ice balls. Sound-effects packs were also announced for Minecraft Marketplace.

The recap attributes this statement to Jens Bergenström, Chief Creative Officer at Mojang Studios: “our goal here at Mojang Studios is to inspire and enable new generations of Minecraft creators”.

Mojang describes Minecraft LIVE as a virtual event available around the world. Its official FAQ says the show happens multiple times a year and usually lasts between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on how many updates are covered.
