Capcom says the Mainland Chinese version is scheduled from 2027 onward. The announcement does not give a complete country-by-country rollout schedule, so availability elsewhere should be checked in the relevant app store as launch approaches.
Is Monster Hunter Outlanders free to play?
Capcom has announced a free-to-play model with in-app purchases. The release notice does not specify what can be bought, prices, how purchases affect progression, or the mechanics behind them. “In-app purchases” alone is not enough to conclude that the game uses a gacha system or any particular type of paid item.

How does it fit into the Monster Hunter series?
Outlanders takes the series’ monster hunting into a mobile game with field exploration and companions, according to Capcom and the official store descriptions. Capcom reported more than 131 million cumulative Monster Hunter series sales as of June 30, 2026; that is a franchise-wide figure, not a forecast or sales figure for Outlanders.
Capcom’s release headline and the official store listings call the game Monster Hunter Outlanders. The same Capcom notice uses “Monster Hunter Wilds Outlanders” in a product-detail table, but that wording is not independently confirmed as a separate or revised title.
