His first rank begins automatically during the prologue; for ranks 2–8, meet each task requirement, then return to More in Akademia. The chain rewards useful Seeker upgrades, menu access to the Archetype tree, an ability preview, and late-game power boosts.
How More’s bond progression works
More’s bond has eight ranks: the first is story-triggered, and the seven later ranks are gated by requests tied to Archetypes and other Followers. These requirements widen as you progress, from developing a particular Archetype to unlocking 15 and then 25 different Archetypes.

After fulfilling a task, speak with More at Akademia to advance the bond. You do not need to select particular answers during rank-up conversations to earn the rank; the More walkthrough at Gamer Guides says correct answers provide extra MAG instead.
More bond ranks, tasks, and rewards

The task and reward sequence is reported by the Gamer Guides More walkthrough and cross-checked against Push Square’s Followers and Bonds guide. Guide tables vary slightly in whether they call the Gunner requirement “discover,” “study,” or “unlock”; follow the wording shown by your in-game request.

Which rewards matter most
Rank 2: Archetype access from the main menu
More’s Magic Igniter lets you open the Archetype tree from the main menu, so you do not need to return to Akademia for those functions. Rank 2 also reduces MAG study costs for Seeker and adds a skill-inheritance slot through Seeker Enlightenment and Scion’s Skill. For convenience, this is the first major milestone.

Seeker Adept unlocks Magic Seeker, adding another option to the Seeker line.

Rank 4: Ability Forecast
Ability Forecast previews Followers’ abilities. Use it to see what a bond can offer before deciding whom to prioritize next.
Ranks 5–7: More inheritance flexibility and a new Archetype
Later Seeker upgrades add inheritance slots and further reduce MAG study costs. Rank 7 is a substantial unlock: it grants Seeker Elite and Soul Hacker, along with Scion’s Essence.

Rank 8: Archetype Evangelist
The final reward adds +3 to the stat bonuses of an equipped Archetype, according to the More guides cited above.

More’s requests connect his bond to the wider progression system. Healer, Gunner, Merchant, and General appear before the larger Archetype-count requirements, so developing the associated Archetypes and Followers is part of the route rather than an optional detour. The task chain may not be immediately completable after every rank: some prerequisites depend on when the relevant Archetype or Follower progression becomes available.
- Keep unlocking Archetypes as you go. Building toward 15 and 25 unlocks gradually is more practical than leaving both thresholds until late.
- Advance other Follower lines when they open these requirements. In particular, the General task depends on Commander progression and Bardon’s bond.
- Return to Akademia after completing each task. Finishing a requirement alone does not trigger the next bond rank; speak with More.
- Choose priorities by payoff. Rank 2 is the convenience milestone, rank 4 helps with planning, and ranks 7–8 bring the later build and stat benefits.
Do dialogue answers affect More’s bond rank?
No. The cited More walkthrough says rank-up dialogue answers do not determine whether the bond increases; correct responses award additional MAG instead. Focus on completing the request requirement, then speak with More.
