Mountain Dew Pitch Black is coming to the UK as a citrus grape-flavoured drink in a 500 ml price-marked bottle. Carlsberg Britvic announced on October 2, 2026, that Booker would have it exclusively from October, with a national rollout planned from November. Those are announced rollout dates, not confirmation that every store has stock.
Where to buy Mountain Dew Pitch Black in the UK
The announced first stop is Booker, which has exclusive availability from October 2026. Carlsberg Britvic plans a national rollout from November. Independent retailers can access point-of-sale and digital materials through the company’s At Your Convenience service. The announcement does not identify live store inventory or confirm that every retailer will carry the drink. Carlsberg Britvic’s October 2 announcement gives the rollout plan.
What the UK launch includes

- Flavour description: Carlsberg Britvic calls it a citrus grape-flavoured drink and describes its colour as dark purple.

These are the company’s product descriptions, not the result of an independent taste test. No source establishes that the UK formulation matches a US version.
Why “after years away from US shelves” needs context
Pitch Black has had documented US returns, but those announcements do not establish its current US retail status. PepsiCo said the flavour was among three that relaunched nationwide on May 16, 2011, for a limited time as part of its Back by Popular DEWmand campaign. In 2016, the company said Pitch Black won its DEWcision fan vote against Baja Blast after a three-month campaign. Neither release confirms continuous availability or current stock. PepsiCo’s 2011 announcement and 2016 result document those dated events.

A PepsiCo SmartLabel record, updated January 5, 2023, describes a US Pitch Black variant as “Dew With A Blast Of Dark Citrus Punch Flavor” and lists a six-pack of 16 fl oz bottles. Carlsberg Britvic’s launch announcement cites figures for the broader Mountain Dew brand and flavoured-carbonates category, not Pitch Black sales. It reports £32.6 million in Mountain Dew retail sales value in Great Britain, attributed to NielsenIQ Discover for GB total coverage over the rolling 52 weeks ending August 8, 2026. It also calls Mountain Dew the third fastest-growing flavoured-carbonates brand in convenience, based on sales-value change versus the year before for the rolling 52 weeks ending September 5, 2026. The announcement reports 11.5% year-on-year sales growth for Mountain Dew, using GB total-coverage sales value for the rolling 52 weeks ending August 8, 2026. These are attributed category and brand measures; they are not evidence of Pitch Black performance.

Carlsberg Britvic Brand Director of Carbonates David Laidler described Pitch Black as an innovation intended to build on the brand’s momentum. The announcement’s wider sales context explains the launch positioning, but it does not provide Pitch Black-specific sales results.
