MSI and CAPCOM’s Rathalos-inspired Monster Hunter 20th anniversary collection spans a complete gaming laptop and desktop components, including a GeForce RTX 4060 Ti graphics card, a Z790 motherboard and a themed PC case. The desktop GPU is the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8G GAMING SLIM MONSTER HUNTER EDITION; it is separate from the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU inside the Crosshair 16 HX Monster Hunter Edition.
What is in MSI’s Monster Hunter collection?
MSI announced the collaboration with CAPCOM in 2024 to mark Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary, using Rathalos as its principal visual inspiration. MSI’s May 10, 2024 announcement lists gaming laptops, monitors, graphics cards, motherboards, cases, liquid coolers and controllers. The initial January 5 announcement specifically named the Crosshair 16 HX laptop, the RTX 4060 Ti graphics card and the MPG Z790 EDGE motherboard.
The announcements establish the collection’s product categories, but they do not establish current stock, retail prices or availability in a particular country. Check MSI and local retailers for those details before buying.
Which MSI Monster Hunter GPU is it?
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8G GAMING SLIM Monster Hunter Edition
The themed desktop graphics card is the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8G GAMING SLIM MONSTER HUNTER EDITION. It is an add-in graphics card for a compatible desktop PC, not a laptop or a complete gaming system. The published product name identifies it as an 8GB RTX 4060 Ti GAMING SLIM edition; the cited announcements do not provide a separate benchmark comparison or current price.

How does the Monster Hunter laptop differ from the GPU?
Crosshair 16 HX Monster Hunter Edition
The Crosshair 16 HX is a complete gaming laptop, with its own display and internal components. MSI’s 2025 datasheet specifies an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, with a boost clock up to 2370 MHz and maximum graphics power of 140 W. Those laptop GPU specifications describe the laptop configuration and should not be confused with the desktop RTX 4060 Ti card’s model name.

Choose the laptop if you need a ready-to-use portable system; choose the desktop card if you are upgrading a compatible desktop build. A laptop’s GPU is integrated into the system, unlike a desktop add-in card that is installed in a PC and depends on the case, power supply and other components being suitable.
What motherboard is used in the themed desktop build?
MPG Z790 EDGE Monster Hunter Edition
The motherboard is the MSI MPG Z790 EDGE MONSTER HUNTER EDITION. MSI lists a 16+1+1 phase power arrangement, PCIe 5.0 and M.2 support, USB 20G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It uses Intel’s Z790 platform, so it is a choice for a compatible Intel-based desktop build—not a universal motherboard for every processor or case.

What other themed desktop parts are included?
MPG GUNGNIR 300 Monster Hunter Edition
The MPG GUNGNIR 300 Monster Hunter Edition is a PC case that brings the Rathalos-inspired look to a desktop build. MSI lists support for vertical GPU mounting. That feature is useful for builders who want to display a graphics card vertically, but check the case’s current specifications and the dimensions of the card and cooling hardware before assembling a system.

Where can you buy the Rathalos-themed MSI GPU?
The official MSI announcements do not provide live retailer listings, pricing or country-by-country availability. Search retailers using the exact GPU model name, then check that the listing is for the Monster Hunter Edition rather than another RTX 4060 Ti GAMING SLIM card. Confirm the seller, stock, return policy and local warranty before ordering. The same checks apply to the laptop, motherboard and case because current inventory and regional release details are not stated in the cited announcements.
