Announced with Blizzard in August 2024 for World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary and The War Within, it pairs the standard GPU platform with anniversary styling and ten magnetic, expansion-themed backplates.
What is the WoW 20th anniversary RTX 4070 SUPER?
It is a named MSI graphics-card model, not a software skin or a giveaway-only concept. MSI and Blizzard announced it on August 21, 2024, as a collaboration celebrating World of Warcraft’s 20th anniversary and the release of The War Within. MSI identifies the product as the GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12G GAMING SLIM World of Warcraft EDITION.
What is different about the World of Warcraft edition?
The card’s signature look combines Mystic Blue and Glorious Gold. Its collector-focused extra is a set of ten magnetic, puzzle-style backplates depicting stories from different World of Warcraft expansions. Those themed cosmetics distinguish it from a standard Gaming Slim RTX 4070 SUPER; the underlying GPU class and core configuration remain RTX 4070 SUPER.

Check that your case has clearance for the card’s 307 mm length and 125 mm height, and that your power supply can provide the required 16-pin connection. MSI recommends a 650 W PSU; that is a recommendation, not the card’s own power draw, which MSI lists as 220 W.
