Wizards of the Coast’s official Foundations Card Image Gallery is the place to browse the set’s cards and art. Magic: The Gathering Foundations released on November 15, 2024, so this is a reference to a released set—not an upcoming spoiler season. Keep the main Foundations set, Foundations Jumpstart, Special Guests, and promotional cards separate: they have different set codes, contents, and distribution rules.
Where to see every Foundations card
Use the official card image gallery to browse Foundations card names and images. It is the canonical visual checklist; this article explains how its card groups and promotional releases fit together rather than duplicating the gallery’s individual-card list.
When checking a checklist, distinguish unique card identities from alternate frames, foil versions, and other treatments. A card shown in a special treatment is not necessarily a separate card identity.
Which Foundations card group are you looking at?

These codes and groups matter when browsing lists or checking format legality. Wizards says FDN is Standard-legal until at least 2029, but select cards included in the Starter Collection for Commander are not Standard-legal. J25 and SPG are listed as Commander-, Legacy-, and Vintage-legal; individual cards may have legality in other formats where they were already available. Check the individual card and format rather than assuming every card distributed with a Foundations product has identical legality. See Wizards’ Foundations announcement and collecting guide.

What are Foundations Special Guests?
Special Guests is a ten-card collection revisiting showcase frames from Magic’s past. These are not ordinary FDN cards. Wizards’ collecting guide says non-foil Special Guests cards can appear in Play Boosters, while traditional foil versions appear in Collector Boosters.
For Play Boosters, Wizards reports that one of the ten non-foil Special Guests cards replaces a common in 1.5% of boosters. The guide says Special Guests do not appear in the wildcard or traditional-foil slot in Play Boosters. That figure describes the official booster collation, not a guarantee for an individual pack or box.

Foil and showcase versions are treatments, not extra set lists
Some searches for “every Foundations card” mean every visual version, not just every card identity. The collecting guide documents two other treatment groups worth distinguishing from the main card list:
- Japan Showcase: A ten-card collection found only in Collector Boosters. Wizards describes language distribution according to booster language.
- Mana foils: Versions of borderless rare and mythic rare cards that appear only in Foundations Collector Boosters.
Use the gallery to verify the card itself, then consult the collecting guide for which products can contain a particular treatment.

Foundations promo cards and how to get them
Promos are distribution-specific and should not be confused with the main set checklist or Special Guests. Wizards documents these Foundations offers, with availability dependent on the purchase channel or event:
- Buy-a-Box Solemn Simulacrum: An extended-art traditional foil promo for qualifying purchases of a Foundations Play Booster or Collector Booster box at a local game store, while supplies last. The offer does not apply to Jumpstart boxes.
- Buy-a-Box Sol Ring: A double rainbow foil promo under the qualifying box-purchase offer, also while supplies last. Ask the participating store which offer applies and whether stock remains.
- Prerelease promo: Each Prerelease Pack contains one traditional foil, year-stamped rare or mythic rare Foundations promo card. Wizards describes the category, not a single card guaranteed in every pack.
Promo availability can vary with store participation and remaining stock. Check with a local game store before buying if a particular promo is the reason for your purchase. The offer details are in Wizards’ collecting guide and product announcement.

Boosters are randomized; choose a product based on the experience or contents you want rather than expecting a specific card.
