Buy the My Loyal Shield treasure map from Stockkeeper Eberk at Southern Warden Tower for 5,220 coins. The chest is in a ruined tower in western Twinedwood, near the lava river and south of Outcast Tower Camp. Climb in from the south, trigger a concealed switch behind a pot, then drop into the ruin to claim Time’s Tarnish. You can open the chest without buying the map.
Where to buy the My Loyal Shield treasure map
Stockkeeper Eberk sells the map at Southern Warden Tower for 5,220 coins, according to PC Gamer’s focused walkthrough. The map is optional: it points to the treasure, but you do not need it to access the chest.
Where to find the treasure chest
Look in western Twinedwood for a ruined tower beside the lava river, south of Outcast Tower Camp. To reach its upper room, approach from the south and climb the rocky ledges. Guides place the tower in the same area; GameSpot’s walkthrough describes wrapping around the western side after climbing from the south.
How to open the secret passage
- From the south side of the tower, follow the path toward the lava river and climb the rocky ledges to the circular upper room.
- Find the table in the room. A small switch is tucked behind a large pot. Move or break the pot if it obstructs the switch.
- Activate the switch to open the nearby doorway. Go through it, then drop into the lower ruin.
- Look for the chest by an ornate wall. It contains Time’s Tarnish.
What Time’s Tarnish does
Time’s Tarnish is a unique shield. PC Gamer’s focused guide reports that blocking has a 20% chance to restore 20 stamina and that the shield has a 10% chance to avoid melee damage. However, PC Gamer’s treasure-map roundup gives a conflicting 10% chance for the stamina refill. These are guide-reported effect figures, not independently verified measurements; check the shield’s description in your game version if the exact chance matters.
