Walmart executive David Guggina also described consoles arriving “(plus snacks!)” as part of the retailer’s launch-day effort. The snacks were a reported Walmart delivery extra—not part of Nintendo’s standard Switch 2 packaging—and customers did not all receive them.
What happened with the Switch 2 snacks?
Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, 2025. Walmart executive David Guggina said the retailer made its first guaranteed launch-day delivery for preorders, delivering consoles “(plus snacks!)” to customers by 9 a.m. He credited Express Delivery and coordination across e-commerce, merchandising, and operations. Customers posting about their deliveries described receiving Pringles and Coca-Cola. A contemporaneous episode of Kinda Funny Games Daily also recounted host Tim Gettys finding pizza-flavored Pringles and Coke with his console. These accounts support that some deliveries included snacks, but they are not a count of how many customers received them.
Did everyone get snacks?
No. Customer accounts included deliveries with both snacks, chips without a drink, and no snacks at all. The reports are anecdotal: they do not establish how many Walmart orders included food or whether every store or market participated. Customer reports in a June 5, 2025 community thread

Were snacks included in the Nintendo Switch 2 box?
There is no evidence that Nintendo put food in the console’s standard packaging. The reports describe snacks accompanying some Walmart launch-day preorder deliveries, so the extra should be understood as a retailer fulfillment surprise rather than a console feature or standard bundle.

The available accounts describe a launch-day delivery effort on June 5, 2025. They do not explain why Walmart added snacks, establish whether the effort covered all locations, or confirm a continuing promotion. A buyer ordering a Switch 2 now should not expect Pringles, Coca-Cola, or any other food item with the console.
