Nacon’s Revolution 5 Unlimited is a newly announced premium asymmetric controller, officially licensed for PS5. Its defining features are a built-in screen for on-controller settings and TMR magnetic joysticks. Nacon says preorders opened October 2, 2026, at suggested prices of €199.99, $229.99 and £179.99; its product page lists an October 21 release date.
What is the Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited?
The Revolution 5 Unlimited (R5U) is Nacon’s high-end asymmetric controller for PS5, with PC use also listed by the manufacturer. Nacon announced it on October 2, 2026, positioning it for competitive and demanding players. The feature and performance descriptions below are Nacon’s specifications and claims; the announcement and product page do not provide independent test results.
What does the built-in screen do?
The integrated screen provides access to settings on the controller, so players can adjust audio mix, joystick sensitivity, shortcut mapping and system settings without leaving a game, according to Nacon. The company also lists a mobile app for advanced settings. The announcement does not specify the screen’s size, resolution or other display specifications.
Does it have TMR sticks?
Yes. Nacon says the R5U uses TMR, or tunneling magnetoresistance, magnetic joystick technology. The company says TMR is intended to improve reliability and precision while reducing power consumption, but it publishes no quantified comparison or test method to establish the scale of those benefits.

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What other controls and features are listed?
- Triggers: Each can switch between an analog pull and a short mechanical click.
- Action buttons: Micro-switch buttons are listed as a competitive feature.
- Shortcuts: The controller has seven programmable shortcuts, with remapping available.
- Shooter Pro Mode: Nacon says this mode removes joystick dead zones.
- Motion control: The product page lists a six-axis gyroscope.
- Customization: Interchangeable stick tops, weights, joystick rings and directional pads are included in the listed design features.
Nacon’s launch materials also say the controller comes with a charging dock and storage case. These are announced specifications and bundle details, not independently verified hands-on findings.
Is the Nacon Revolution 5 Unlimited compatible with PS5 and PC?
Nacon describes the R5U as officially licensed for PS5 and lists compatibility with PS5 and Windows on its product page. Its announcement also describes use with Android Smart TVs. Keep the PC qualification in mind: Nacon states that PC compatibility has not been tested or approved by Sony Interactive Entertainment. That caveat is about Sony’s testing and approval, not a claim that Windows use is impossible.

What remains unproven?
The R5U’s screen, TMR sticks, trigger modes and other features are described by Nacon, but the launch announcement and product page do not report independent testing, measured accuracy or latency, or quantified reliability and power-consumption results. Those benefits should therefore be understood as manufacturer claims rather than verified performance comparisons. The available information is not enough to conclude that the controller outperforms competing models.
Nacon Accessories Division director Yannick Allaert described the product as a “state-of-the-art instrument” and said the company aimed to set new standards in competitive gaming peripherals. That is Nacon’s positioning, not an independent assessment.
