These dates come from the New World/Amazon Games notice reproduced on the PlayStation Store listing. The January 2027 deadline is a server shutdown, not a sale-delisting date.
Is New World: Aeternum leaving PlayStation Plus in January 2027?
No title-specific PlayStation Plus catalogue exit date is established by the cited official information. Sony’s PlayStation Plus games page explains that Game Catalog titles can have end dates and may be removed, but the catalogue’s availability changes over time and varies by region. Check the game’s page in your local PlayStation Plus hub for current access and any listed removal date.
A catalogue removal and a server shutdown are separate events: a subscription can determine whether you can access a catalogue game, but it cannot keep an online game playable after its servers close.

What the “free game” label does—and does not—confirm
The available official material does not establish that New World: Aeternum was an Essential monthly PlayStation Plus game. Sony’s January 2026 Game Catalog announcement, published January 14, lists games arriving January 20 and does not include New World. That announcement covers those additions only; it does not establish whether the game was available earlier or in another region.

No offline fallback is indicated. The PlayStation Store listing says New World: Aeternum requires a persistent internet connection and has no offline mode. Once the servers are taken offline on January 31, 2027, the listing provides no basis to expect continued play.

How to check your own access
- Open the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog on your console or the PlayStation Plus games page for your country.
- Search for New World: Aeternum and confirm whether it is currently included for your subscription tier.
- Check the game’s listing for any catalogue end date. Do not treat January 31, 2027 as that date; it is the announced all-platform server shutdown.
