Yes—Nintendo has an official Nintendo Store app for iPhone, iPad and Android devices in supported regions. It brings Nintendo shopping, news, wishlists and some account-linked features to mobile, but it is not a complete phone version of the console Nintendo eShop.
The name is newer than the app itself: Nintendo’s Japanese app was previously called My Nintendo and was renamed Nintendo Store on November 5, 2025. Nintendo’s Japanese app page documents the change.
What the Nintendo Store app does
The app is an official mobile shopping and account companion. You can browse Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems, games, accessories and merchandise, search the catalog, and read Nintendo product, game and event news. Features described by Nintendo also include:
- Wishlists and sale alerts: Save products and receive notifications when eligible wishlist items go on sale. Alerts depend on notification permissions and regional availability.
- Play activity: Sign in to see supported activity for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch. Historical Nintendo 3DS and Wii U activity is more limited: the U.S. App Store listing says that older-system play data is logged only through February 2020.
- Store and event features: In supported locations, users can check in at official Nintendo stores or events and access related rewards. These features are not necessarily offered in every country.
Nintendo lists Nintendo Store separately from the Nintendo Switch App, Nintendo Today! and Nintendo Music on its U.S. mobile-apps page. It does not combine all Nintendo services into one app.

It is not simply the console eShop on your phone
The app lets you discover products and reach Nintendo’s online store, but Nintendo’s regional description says purchases can continue on My Nintendo Store. Think of it as a mobile front end for Nintendo shopping and account features, not a standalone mobile replacement for the console eShop. The eShop on compatible Nintendo hardware remains the natural place to purchase and download digital games to a console.
Some account-linked functions require a Nintendo Account. Under the Japanese service rules, digital purchases may also require a compatible Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 system linked to the account. Exact purchase flows and features can differ by region.

Where to download it
Use the official listing for your device and check that Nintendo is the developer or seller before installing:

- iPhone or iPad: Open the Nintendo Store listing on the App Store, verify the seller is Nintendo Co., Ltd., then install and sign in if you want account-linked features.
- Android: Open the Nintendo Store listing on Google Play, verify Nintendo as the developer, install, and sign in for account-linked functions.
If the app does not appear in your store search, check your country’s storefront and Nintendo’s regional app information. Do not assume that a listing visible in one country is available everywhere, and avoid similarly named unofficial downloads.

Device, account and region requirements
The U.S. listings currently specify iOS 16.0 or later and Android 10 or later. Google Play also notes that a compatible smart device, persistent internet access and a Nintendo Account are needed for some functions. Some content has age restrictions; the listing says users must be at least 17 to access some content. Requirements may change, so check the live listing before installing.
Availability and features vary by country, account region, age and local store support. Nintendo’s Japanese, U.S. and Canadian pages describe their respective markets; none establishes universal availability. If a feature is missing, confirm you are signed in, check whether it is supported in your region, and allow the app to refresh. For missing sale alerts, check both the app’s notification settings and your phone’s system-level notification permissions.

Who is likely to find it useful?
The app is most useful if you regularly shop Nintendo’s direct store, collect merchandise, monitor hardware or accessory availability, or want wishlist sale notifications. It can also be handy if you like checking supported play activity or attend Nintendo events with app-based check-ins.
You can skip it if you only buy games through your console, already use Nintendo’s web store comfortably, or do not want another app. The browser store remains an option without an installation, and the app does not guarantee lower prices, better stock or faster delivery than other retailers.

Privacy and account notes
Review the disclosures on your local store listing before signing in. The U.S. Apple listing identifies categories of data that may be used for tracking, including purchases, contact information, identifiers and usage data. Google Play says Nintendo may allow third-party partners to collect data for analytics and marketing with user consent. Disclosures can vary by region and change over time.
