Nioh 3 lets players share character appearances through Character Creation Codes. Look for the platform prefix first: PS5 codes begin with N3P-, while Steam codes begin with N3S-. Codes are community-shared rather than guaranteed to work, so check the platform and ask whether a listing has been tested before relying on it.
What Nioh 3 character creation codes do
Uploading character-creation data generates a Character Creation Code that other players can use to share that appearance, according to the official Nioh 3 web manual. A useful listing should include the code, a picture or description of the look, the platform, and the intended appearance style when known.

Nioh 3 allows separate appearances for Samurai Style and Ninja Style, as Team NINJA explains in its demo announcement. A submission may be intended for one style or both; do not assume it applies to both unless the creator says so.
Identify a code’s platform

These prefixes and colors are specified in Team NINJA’s official contest instructions. The source does not establish that codes work across platforms, so treat platform as a requirement rather than assuming compatibility.

How to enter a character creation code
- Open the Character Creation screen in Nioh 3.
- Choose Options → Input Code, the route given in PC Gamer’s appearance and code-entry guide.
- Enter the code that matches your platform, including its N3P- or N3S- prefix, and confirm.
- Check the resulting appearance. If the code is rejected, confirm that it was copied correctly and that the listing is for your platform; also check the current in-game menu wording, which may differ from a guide.
How to create and share your own code
- Go to the Character Creation screen and finish the appearance you want to share.
- Select Options → Create/Manage Codes, as directed by Team NINJA’s contest instructions.
- Create and upload the code. The official manual says uploading character-creation data generates a Character Creation Code.
- Share the complete code alongside your platform, a screenshot or description, and whether the appearance is for Samurai Style, Ninja Style, or both.
Finding codes and checking listings
Community pages such as Game8’s Character Creation Codes board collect shared examples. A listing’s presence on a board does not establish that it still works. No individual code in these listings has been independently tested here, so regard examples as community-shared unless a submitter or another player reports successful use on the stated platform.
- Platform: Match N3P- listings to PS5 and N3S- listings to Steam.
- Appearance intent: Look for Samurai or Ninja style details; if none are given, treat the intended style as unspecified.
- Verification: Distinguish a creator-confirmed or community-reported code from one currently tested in-game. A successful report should identify the platform.
- Presentation: Compare the image or look description with the code instead of relying on a title alone.
What happened to the #Nioh3Code contest?
Team NINJA’s “My Takechiyo” contest, announced January 29, 2026, accepted entries through February 28, 2026; it is over. The announcement planned six winners, with winning designs to be implemented as appearance templates in a future update. That was a contest plan, not confirmation that those templates have since been added.
