If No More Room in Hell 2 is lagging in multiplayer on PC, first identify whether you have network latency or a local performance problem. Update No More Room in Hell 2
Make sure the game is current before relying on older advice. No More Room in Hell 2 left Early Access with the Armageddon 1.0 update on August 11, 2026; the official feed lists Resupply (1.1) update notes dated September 15, 2026. Check the official Steam announcement feed for the latest release information, since fixes and behavior can change between versions.

Compare your PC with the official requirements
Steam lists these PC specifications for the game. Its stated performance targets are 1080p at 30 Hz on low settings with performance super sampling for minimum, and 1080p at 60 Hz on high settings with quality super sampling for recommended. Requirements are a baseline, not a guarantee that a particular PC will run smoothly in every multiplayer situation.

These specifications are from the Steam support and store specification page. They do not diagnose network latency. If your PC is below the listed memory requirement and you are seeing local freezes or stutter, bringing it up to a compatible configuration may be worth considering; Steam recommends 16 GB. Match any memory to your PC’s supported type, speed, form factor, and capacity. A RAM upgrade is not a fix for high ping or rubber-banding.

Consider combat-related performance symptoms
The development team has described performance work on effects and systems that can be active during hectic fights. In an August 3, 2026 article, it said it refactored gore and weapon-impact handling to reduce performance cost and optimized audio and loading behavior. It also reported resolving an issue in which accumulated objects could increase simultaneous sounds and reduce performance over time on maps where players retraced routes, including Lewiston and Hospital; the team said that issue was resolved for Armageddon. These are developer-reported changes, not a guarantee that every stutter has been eliminated. Read the developer’s performance update for its account.
If you have high ping or rubber-banding
The available official game information does not verify one universal client-side setting, command, or hardware purchase that fixes multiplayer network lag. Do not treat a graphics change, RAM upgrade, or GPU upgrade as a proven ping fix. First record when the latency occurs and whether it affects only you or several players in the match; that evidence helps distinguish a local connection issue from a broader match problem when reporting it.

Report persistent problems with useful details
The development team asks players to report performance issues in-game, on Discord, or through Support. Steam’s game support page links to the official support route. When reporting, include details that make the symptom easier to investigate:
- Game version and the date you last updated.
- Your region or location, and the match time and map if known.
- Whether the problem is high ping/rubber-banding or low FPS/freezing/stutter.
- Your connection type and the ping shown in-game, if available.
- Whether other players in the match seem affected, or only you.
