When does Nocturnal 2 come out?
The Steam store page lists November 10, 2026 as the planned release date. Sunnyside Games confirmed the day in a September 21, 2026 Steam community announcement, saying, “We’re happy to announce that Nocturnal 2 will be available on November 10th!” The store listing supplies the year. The date is a planned release date, not confirmation that the game is already available. Steam currently identifies Sunnyside Games as both developer and publisher.
Is Nocturnal 2 coming to Nintendo Switch?
A Nintendo Switch release for Nocturnal 2 is not confirmed by the official sources reviewed. Nintendo’s listing is for Nocturnal, the original game, and gives that title a June 7, 2023 Switch release date. It is not evidence that the sequel is coming to the platform. The currently established platform is Windows PC through Steam. Until Sunnyside Games or Nintendo posts a sequel-specific announcement or store page, treat Switch availability as unconfirmed.
What kind of game is Nocturnal 2?
Sunnyside Games describes Nocturnal 2 as an atmospheric action-adventure set in Ytash. Its Steam page presents the city as interconnected and partly obscured, with routes that open as players return with new abilities. The publisher also highlights hand-drawn art inspired by Persian architecture, flexible movement and combat, secret endings, and a minimalist focus on atmosphere and discovery. What happened to the Nocturnal 2 demo?
Sunnyside Games announced a Steam demo on January 26 and said demo save files would not transfer to the full game. A February patch added or updated features including teleportation, collectible Arcana cards, map markers, progression elements, shortcuts, combat changes, controller vibration adjustments, and bug fixes.
On March 12, the developer said the game was essentially content-complete but still needed debugging and polish, particularly for bosses. It also said the release window would move from Q1 to Q2 to allow improvements based on demo feedback. Later, Sunnyside announced that the demo would be unpublished on May 31 because work since January had made it no longer representative of the final experience.
