#1 Best Overall
| Color | Category | Words |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | FOOD-RELATED JUMBLES | HASH, SALAD, SCRAMBLE, STEW |
| Green | PUBLIC STANDING | CHARACTER, IMAGE, NAME, REPUTATION |
| Blue | INFO ON A MUSEUM PLACARD | ARTIST, MEDIUM, TITLE, YEAR |
| Purple | ANAGRAMS OF FAMOUS PAINTERS | DIAL, EGADS, MONTE, YOGA |
Why the groups fit
Yellow: FOOD-RELATED JUMBLES
Hash, salad, scramble, and stew are all food-related terms. “Hash” and “scramble” can also suggest ways of preparing food, which makes them tempting to group by cooking action rather than by the broader food connection.
Green: PUBLIC STANDING
Character, image, name, and reputation can each describe a person’s standing or how others perceive them. Check that all four work as descriptions of public regard before locking in the group.
Blue: INFO ON A MUSEUM PLACARD
An artwork’s placard commonly identifies its artist, medium, title, and year. These are the four information fields represented here.
Purple: ANAGRAMS OF FAMOUS PAINTERS
Rearrange each word’s letters to reveal a painter’s surname: DIAL becomes DALI, EGADS becomes DEGAS, MONTE becomes MONET, and YOGA becomes GOYA.
