Connections answers for November 9, 2024
Spoilers below: The four categories and their words are:
#1 Best Overall
- Yellow — CONTORTED: BENT, GNARLY, TWISTED, WARPED
- Green — SMALLEST AMOUNT: LICK, OUNCE, SHRED, TRACE
- Blue — ALGEBRA TERMS: EXPONENT, POWER, RADICAL, ROOT
- Purple — WORDS BEFORE “ROOM” TO MEAN LAVATORY: BATH, POWDER, REST, THRONE
The misleading connection to watch for
REST, POWDER, and BATH can suggest words that follow “foot,” which makes them tempting to group together. In this puzzle, though, they belong with THRONE as words that come before “room” to mean a lavatory. Check a possible trio against the remaining words before locking it in: Connections can include overlaps that look convincing but do not complete a group of four.
