  2. Green: Special knowledge.
  3. Blue: Instagram has them too.
  4. Purple: SCOOB would be another.

Answers for September 18, 2024

Spoilers below: The category names and all 16 tiles are revealed here.

Yellow — Gathering spot outside a residence

DECK, PORCH, STOOP, YARD

Green — Lowdown

DISH, DOPE, INFO, SCOOP

Blue — Kinds of reels

BLOOPER, DEMO, HIGHLIGHT, SIZZLE

Purple — Cartoon dogs minus “Y”

DROOP, GOOF, LAD, SNOOP. Add a Y to each tile to get Droopy, Goofy, Lady and Snoopy. LAD is the shortened form of Lady, which makes the missing-letter pattern the key to this group.

How to solve this puzzle

  • Start with the direct matches: DECK, PORCH, STOOP and YARD all describe places to gather outside a home.
  • DISH, DOPE, INFO and SCOOP can each refer to information or the lowdown.
  • BLOOPER, DEMO, HIGHLIGHT and SIZZLE are reel formats or types, with the Instagram hint pointing toward reels.
  • For the trickiest set, consider whether adding one letter turns the remaining words into familiar names. Appending Y reveals the cartoon dogs.
