Each purple entry can be followed by a playing-card term: BoJack Horseman, Stephen Hawking, Ada Lovelace and Steve McQueen are the intended names, with the connection relying on the resulting titles or names that end in card terms.

How Connections timing and the archive work

The New York Times releases a new Connections puzzle at midnight in each player’s local timezone. The game is available on the NYT website and in its Games and News apps.

The official archive reaches back to June 12, 2023. NYT guidance says archive access is available to All Access and Games subscribers, and archived puzzles do not count toward release-day streaks. Eligibility and account requirements can change, so check the current NYT game and archive screens for the access available to you.
