The theme is “That’s so sweet!” Forbes’ hint is “Think in terms of baking,” while Parade offers the more direct nudge “not salt.” The answers are varieties or forms of sugar and sweeteners.
For a gradual reveal, Forbes gives these first-two-letter prompts in order: CU, PO, GR, IN, BR, TU, SU. The final pair points to the spangram.
