How to use a hint if you are still solving
Strands is a word-search-style game available on the NYT website and in the NYT Games app, according to Forbes. If you want help without immediately looking up the full answer list, find three valid words that are not theme answers and contain at least four letters. That unlocks the Hint button; using it highlights the letters of a theme word. Themes can also rely on things such as missing words in phrases, synonyms, or homophones, so not every puzzle works like an obvious category list.
How certain is the answer list?
The Friday date and game identification are reported by both Forbes and TechRadar. The full set of theme words and the spangram are reported by Forbes. The available reporting does not include an accessible NYT source confirming the archived grid, so these answers are secondary-source reporting rather than direct verification from the New York Times.
