There is no verified, current catalog here of every shiny Deviation, its exact trait, and where to catch it. Community guidance describes shiny variants as keeping a Deviation’s core abilities while changing its appearance and adding trait-specific effects, but that is not an official, exhaustive roster. Shiny Deviations are also separate from Shiny Mods, which are equipment mods.
You can still use current Deviation maps to plan exploration and the game’s scenario and zone information to understand where traits may matter. Treat any shiny-specific spawn or capture route as item- and scenario-specific, and confirm it in the active game rather than relying on a universal location list.
What counts as a shiny Deviation?
A community handbook describes shiny Deviations as variants that retain their core abilities, look different, and gain effects tied to their traits. That is a useful working description, not an official rule confirmed for every Deviation. The handbook also discusses general acquisition methods, but it does not establish a complete, current shiny roster or verify every individual route. Read the community handbook with that limitation in mind.
Do not confuse shiny Deviations with Shiny Mods. Shiny Mods belong to a separate equipment-mod system; a guide to those mods will not tell you which Deviation variants exist or how to capture them.

Is there a complete list of shiny Deviations?
No complete, authoritative current list—with each shiny Deviation’s trait, effect, availability, and verified acquisition route—is established by the sources available for this guide. A September 2026 community post describes a work-in-progress Deviations-and-traits guide covering Combat, Crafting, and Territory Deviations, recommended traits, and where to obtain them; the announcement does not substantiate individual entries. See the guide announcement.
That means a page promising “all” shiny variants should be checked for its update date and item-level evidence before you spend time following a route. Older lists, event-specific lists, and pages using “shiny” loosely may not describe what is available in your current scenario.
How to find Deviations without relying on a universal spawn list
Check the active scenario and in-game map
Deviation availability and locations can depend on the scenario, event, and server. In its October 30, 2025 announcement for Deviation: Survive, Capture, Preserve, NetEase said players could make special tools to capture Deviations in the world and that different Deviations were native to different locations and biomes. That is scenario-specific guidance, not proof that every Deviation uses the same capture tool or route. Read NetEase’s scenario announcement.

- FEELIN’ CUTE is the fur-mily party game of determining which animals are the cutest! Think you can figure out which of your friends believes a Tree Frog is more precious than a Fennec Fox? You’re about to!
- DESIGNED FOR 2-8 PLAYERS, ages 6 and up, the card game takes 15 minutes to play, and will leave players feelin' cuter than ever!
- BOTH COMPETITIVE & COOPERATIVE gameplay options mean this family game that adults also enjoy is perfect for animals (or humans) of all kinds!
- CHOOSE your favorite animal paw and place the Cuteness Scale in the center of the table. Draw animal cards and show them around. Decide how its cuteness compares to the last and the other players make their guesses. If no one guesses right, turn over a Blobfish token, and once all three are turned, tally your scores!
- SPARKS HILARIOUS DISCUSSION about the cuteness of animals–and always ends with an emphatic "I want to play again!"
- Identify your active scenario and any event rules. Do not assume a location from another scenario or server applies to yours.
- Open the in-game map and check the relevant locations. Use it to confirm what is available in your current world before travelling.
- Use the capture method specified for that scenario or Deviation. In the named scenario above, NetEase describes crafting special capture tools; do not generalize that detail beyond its context.
- Check item-specific guidance before pursuing a claimed shiny. Look for a source that identifies the variant, its trait, and its current route—not just a general Deviation location.
Use a map as an index, not proof of a shiny spawn
TH.GL’s Deviations Guide says it covers 2,475 known Deviation entries across seven maps and offers an interactive map, progress tracker, spawn points, and tips. The page was last updated October 6, 2026. Those figures refer to broad Deviation entries, not a verified count of shiny variants; the map is a navigation aid, not certification that every shiny variant or route is listed.
Treat general acquisition routes as leads
The community handbook lists broad possibilities such as wilderness exploration, farming, settlement loot, boss drops, events, and Securement Pods. These are secondary-source leads, not guaranteed methods for a particular shiny. Confirm the specific Deviation, route, scenario, and current availability before investing time in a hunt.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. What official zone traits do—and do not—tell you
Zone traits are not a catalog of shiny Deviation variants. The official Version 2.3.1 update announcement, dated January 21, 2026, says: “Each Pollution Zone comes with one Deviant effect (guaranteed) and 1-3 Deviant Traits (affecting survival, exploration, or production).” It also says scenario servers other than RaidZone randomly generate Pollution Zone locations and quantities, while each new server’s locations and types are fixed after generation. These are dated patch-note details; check later updates and your active scenario for current behavior. Read the official Version 2.3.1 update.

Wild zones
The update says distance from the objective reduces damage and increases wild-plant mutation rate. Wild-zone traits can increase crop mutation; special trees may guarantee seeds or mutated plants when chopped, but may turn into Fools if left alone. Breeding effects can improve offspring trait entries and rare-pattern chances. Tamed animals lose Tameness more easily, and higher pollution accelerates that loss.
Mirror zones
The update describes reduced damage from hits toward the front and a chance for looting or gathering to yield double rewards. Interactive mirrors can summon a clone that follows and shares damage, then taunts enemies after the player attacks. Reflective Mimic chests appear, and backstab kills can have a chance to double loot.

Creatures alternate between Void and Solid states, each with different damage reductions. The documented traits include more enemies and a Phantom trait for animals captured while in Void state. The update also describes an elite enemy, Frostella, whose attacks vary with the player’s state.
These mechanics can help explain the conditions around exploration or capture, but they do not identify a shiny variant’s trait or establish its spawn point. Verify those details separately for the Deviation you want.
