To schedule a prerecorded gaming replay as a YouTube live broadcast with OneStream Live, connect your YouTube channel, add the video, choose YouTube as the destination, enter the event details, and set a time. The main limits to plan around are OneStream’s free-plan duration cap, its separate requirements for 24/7 looping, and YouTube’s warning that streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived.
How do I stream a prerecorded video on YouTube with OneStream Live?
OneStream Live’s documented workflow is to connect a YouTube channel, choose or upload prerecorded footage, set YouTube as the destination, complete the stream details, and schedule the event. You can use an existing edited replay; uploading a finished video does not require a capture card.
- Connect YouTube. In OneStream Live, open Social Platforms, add or select YouTube, choose the account and channel, select a category, and authorize the connection.
- Add the replay. Choose the prerecorded-stream workflow and select the video from your device, OneStream storage, or a supported cloud-storage service.
- Choose the destination and enter metadata. Select the connected YouTube channel, then add the event details, such as title and description. OneStream’s guide also describes adding tags and a thumbnail.
- Set the schedule. Choose the broadcast date and time, review the event details, and schedule it.
- Verify the event. Find it under Streams and revisit its details before airtime. OneStream documents editing scheduled streams from that page.
OneStream says prerecorded streams can be scheduled up to 60 days ahead. That is an advance-booking window, not a promise that a broadcast can run for 60 days.
Can I schedule a gaming replay to go live on YouTube?
Yes. OneStream’s YouTube setup guide describes scheduling a prerecorded stream to go live in real time. The event is a broadcast of the uploaded recording; scheduling it does not guarantee that YouTube will preserve the entire broadcast as a replay or that it will be eligible for monetization.

One-off replay or a continuous channel?
For a single gaming replay, use scheduled prerecorded streaming. OneStream’s separate 24/7 guide describes a YouTube-only looping option that requires Enterprise and allows a configured stream to run for at most 30 days. Its overview describes looping prerecorded videos for a continuous channel. Check the current entitlement in your account: plans and help-page details can change, and the 30-day maximum is distinct from the 60-day scheduling lead time.
OneStream also lists YouTube-only DVR and monetization toggles among advanced scheduling options, available on Standard and higher. Those controls describe interface options, not guaranteed monetization or ad revenue.

What OneStream plan limits should I check?
OneStream’s 2026 Free Plan limitations article lists the following restrictions. These are plan details reported by OneStream, not independent performance tests; confirm current limits in your account before relying on them.

These free-plan limits are separate from the Enterprise requirement and 30-day configured-duration ceiling that OneStream documents for its 24/7 YouTube workflow. Also distinguish the 60-day period above, which OneStream lists for free-plan media storage, from scheduling a broadcast up to 60 days in advance.

Will YouTube save my livestream as a replay?
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived. It warns that if a stream exceeds 12 hours, it may not be captured at all. That makes a complete VOD uncertain for long broadcasts, especially a 24/7 stream; do not treat continuous transmission as a substitute for a saved recording.
- For a replay you want to keep, consider dividing a long broadcast into shorter events rather than relying on one stream longer than 12 hours.
- Retain the original recording locally where feasible. Check YouTube’s archive guidance before the event, since platform behavior and policies can change.
OneStream’s scheduling controls do not override YouTube’s archive behavior. A stream can go live as scheduled without producing a complete archived replay.

Can I monetize gameplay replays?
Possibly, but scheduling through OneStream does not establish monetization eligibility. YouTube says game-content monetization may depend on commercial-use rights granted by the game publisher. Its guidance warns that videos simply showing extended gameplay may not be accepted for monetization. Commentary or other meaningful value may matter, but it does not replace the need for the relevant rights or YouTube channel eligibility.
Check rights for the game and its audio
- Review the publisher’s terms for commercial use of gameplay footage. Do not assume owning or playing a game grants monetization rights.
- Check rights for in-game music and other third-party material separately. A publisher’s gameplay policy may not clear music or assets supplied by someone else.
- Remember that YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may interrupt a broadcast. Archived live streams can receive Content ID claims after the event.
Eligibility is not the same as turning on a setting
OneStream’s advanced scheduling interface may expose a YouTube monetization toggle, but YouTube channel eligibility still applies and ad serving is not guaranteed. A control in the scheduler cannot grant rights, satisfy channel-level policies, or promise revenue.

Do I need a capture card?
Not to upload and schedule an existing replay. A capture card is only a possible part of creating the source footage: a console player who needs to record gameplay may need a capture method, while a PC creator may already have recording software. The appropriate setup depends on the console, computer, and recording workflow; OneStream’s prerecorded-upload process does not make a capture card a prerequisite.
