The Overwatch 2 x Gundam Wing crossover was a limited-time 2025 event, and both officially announced event windows have ended. Blizzard listed April 29–May 12, 2025; the Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary site listed April 30–May 14, 2025. Neither announcement explains the difference, so the dates are best read as each publisher’s stated schedule.
When did the Overwatch 2 x Gundam Wing event end?
Blizzard’s US English announcement gave the event dates as April 29 through May 12, 2025. The Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary site announced April 30 through May 14, 2025. Both schedules are historical; the pages do not explain why their dates differ.
| Source | Stated event dates |
|---|---|
| Blizzard Entertainment, US English announcement | April 29–May 12, 2025 |
| Gundam Wing 30th Anniversary Official Site | April 30–May 14, 2025 |
Which Gundam Wing characters became Overwatch 2 skins?
The collaboration celebrated Gundam Wing’s 30th anniversary with four Legendary crossover skins, pairing Overwatch 2 heroes with mobile suits from the series:
| Overwatch 2 hero | Gundam Wing mobile suit |
|---|---|
| Reaper | Deathscythe |
| Ramattra | Epyon |
| Soldier: 76 | Tallgeese |
| Mercy | Wing Zero |
Blizzard says Mercy’s design draws on the Wing Zero Custom from Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz. The official Gundam anniversary site lists the same four hero and mobile-suit pairings.

What did the event bundles and challenges include?
Blizzard said each Legendary skin came with additional cosmetics in its hero bundle, and that a Mega Bundle collected all four Legendary skin bundles. The announcement also promoted in-game challenges for extra cosmetics at no cost, including the Gundamari weapon charm. In Blizzard Entertainment’s words: “Finally, jump into Overwatch 2 and complete new in-game challenges to earn free additional cosmetics, including the Gundamari weapon charm, to finish your Gundam collection.”
The announcement does not establish the bundles’ prices, current shop availability, or whether any of the cosmetics returned after the event.
