Here’s what the reveal showed and what Blizzard’s current descriptions say about her.
Who is Juno in Overwatch 2?
Blizzard’s official hero profile calls Juno “The first human born on Mars” and describes her as using space-age technology to address problems that enter her orbit. She was introduced under the codename Space Ranger; Juno is the hero’s name.
In Blizzard’s 2026 roster overview, Juno is described as an airborne Hero from Mars seeking a lifeline for her family and home planet. Blizzard says her space-age technology grants healing and speed to allies. That is the game maker’s summary of her team utility, not a ranking of her competitive strength.
What did the first gameplay reveal establish?
Blizzard’s official video catalog lists “Gameplay Trailer: Juno,” while its July 2024 patch notes include a section titled “Overwatch 2 Juno Hero Trial – July 19, 2024.” These materials place the gameplay reveal and trial in the July 2024 period. The accessible trailer-catalog listing does not establish an exact publication time, so a more precise date for the trailer should not be inferred from it.

- Measures about 7" tall
- Figure stand included
The Hero Trial is the clearest dated marker in the patch-note title. It records the trial period, not a promise that Juno is still a newly revealed or trial-only hero.
How does Juno play?
Blizzard characterizes Juno as an airborne, mobile Support whose technology can help allies with healing and speed. Her profile currently describes Pulsar Torpedoes as a lock-on ability that fires homing projectiles. That gives players a broad picture of her support tools without relying on ability numbers or details that may change as the game is updated.

Why Blizzard designed her this way
In a Blizzard development feature, hero team member Daryl Tan explained that the team wanted a Support hero who was “fast, agile, and had a hitscan-like weapon,” which led them to explore a space-themed concept. The account also explains how the kit shaped the character fantasy: Pulsar Torpedoes required a way to show both enemy and ally lock-on information through Juno’s visor.
This design explanation connects her movement and weapon concept to the space-ranger presentation. It describes the team’s intent, rather than establishing how strong she is in any particular match or balance patch.

These are in-game cosmetics; the official references cited here do not establish a related physical product.

For the design rationale, see Blizzard’s development feature. The July 2024 trial is listed in the official patch notes, and the video catalog lists the Gameplay Trailer: Juno.
