Paradise, also called Paradise XRPL, is still listed on Steam as “Coming soon” and is not available there to play. April 2025 coverage raised concerns about its missed Steam timing, cryptocurrency features and marketing claims, but the sources cited here do not establish that it is legally a scam. Its much-discussed wishlist figures are historical, not current.
What is Paradise, and what is its status on Steam?
Paradise is an open-world project presented as a free-to-play life simulation with action, character customization, AI dialogue and an economy linked to cryptocurrency. Steam lists Ultra Games and Ultra Technologies as developers and Ultra Games HK as publisher. The listing describes the game as free-to-play and “Coming soon”; it also states that the game is not yet available on Steam. Steam’s Paradise listing was checked on October 8, 2026.

That listing is evidence of the store’s current status and the project’s own descriptions, not proof that the advertised features work as described in a released build. Steam’s Early Access disclosures describe future plans in aspirational terms. They include this caveat: “Please note that these plans are aspirational and subject to change based on ongoing development processes and community input.”
Why did Paradise attract attention on Steam’s wishlist charts?
On April 9, 2025, Gamepressure reported that Paradise ranked No. 51 among games then being added to Steam wishlists most frequently, and that its official Steam page showed more than 640,000 wishlist accounts. Those are dated figures from that report, not a current rank or total. Wishlisting indicates interest; it does not establish how many people have played, paid for or will buy a game.

Gamepressure also reported that Paradise’s website claimed more than 800,000 players across platforms. That was the project’s claim as relayed by the outlet, not an independently verified player count. Dexerto reported that the game’s trailer had more than 1.4 million YouTube views when its article appeared in April 2025; that, too, is a publication-time snapshot rather than a current view count.
What happened to the planned Steam release?
Paradise was announced in November 2024 as a free-to-play game planned for release in 2025, according to Gamepressure. Reports said a planned April 2, 2025 Steam launch did not happen as expected. Gamepressure wrote that the game had launched only on GGEM at the time and that its release date had shifted to “Coming soon.” Dexerto reported that a demo was released that day, but the game was not published on Steam or the Epic Games Store.

Steam’s current “Coming soon” status confirms that the game is still unavailable on that store, but the sources cited here do not establish its present availability on GGEM or elsewhere. They also do not establish whether subsequent release plans or partnerships have changed.
Why did reports call Paradise a possible scam?
The word “scam” is an allegation, not an established legal finding in the reporting cited here. Gamepressure and Dexerto described warning signs and disputed claims; neither source establishes a court or regulator finding of fraud.

Crypto features and token promotion
Gamepressure described Paradise as having a dynamic economy connected to cryptocurrency and reported skepticism about blockchain information. Dexerto reported that the project offered an option to buy its $PAR token ahead of launch. These reports raise questions for prospective players, but the sources do not establish the token sale’s current status or independently verify the project’s economic claims.
Questions about creator likenesses
Dexerto reported that Paradise’s trailer presented named creators as AI-powered non-player characters. The teams of Ali-A and Lachlan said they were not involved, according to the outlet. Dexerto also reproduced the developers’ explanation that some deals were preliminary and had not been finalized. This reporting does not show that every named creator was contacted, settle the status of any contract, or amount to a legal ruling about likeness rights.

Alleged asset similarities
Gamepressure also reported alleged similarities involving assets or likenesses. Such comparisons are concerns reported by the outlet, not proof of unauthorized use or a legal determination. The material available here does not establish that a court or regulator has ruled on those allegations.
